2015 Sony Open Photos
GolfWRX is live this week from the 2015 Sony Open in Hawaii at Waialae Country Club on the island of Oahu. The course, which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary as a PGA Tour tournament host, will play as a par-70 measuring 7,044 yards for the event.
The field is set to include Jason Day, currently ranked No. 8 according to the Official World Golf Rankings, Matt Kuchar (No. 11), defending champion Jimmy Walker (No. 22) and John Daly, who is playing on a sponsor’s exemption.
Walker won last year’s event by one shot over Chris Kirk after making three consecutive birdies on Nos. 15, 16 and 17 to shoot a final round 7-under par 63. He’ll be defending his 2014 Sony Open championship this week, but will also be looking to rebound from a playoff loss to Patrick Reed in last week’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions.
