Good thing he doesn’t hit the ball as well as some of the Wrx’ers who who couldn’t possible play a ping iron… Actually I blame the parents!

He played great for a few weeks…I’ll give him that, but was is better than Rory’s run? Jimmy Walkers run? Patrick Reeds run? Not remotely…FedEx cup scoring has been junk ever since they Tiger proofed it. Good for him and his family, but a “season long” prize should be reworked to encompass the whole season.

Regardless of the FedEx points, Billy came in 2nd, won the week after, and then won again yesterday.

That’s still quite a nice run, anytime in history on Tour with all these players around him.

Rory won three in a row this year, including two majors, and also played well in the playoffs. He had without question the best season on the tour. Was that properly reflected in the FedEx cup? Any answer other than no is retardism. They’re interested in maintaining interest as the US summer fades, so they throw a huge prize out there, and anyone who plays well for a few weeks can win it. It has ZERO to do with the bulk of the season. Ask Morgan Hoffman (which would have been a GREAT story).

Really, not a great run? I think you need to stop sipping the haterade and give the kid some credit. Agreed that they need to rework the point system a little bit but that doesn’t take away from Horschel showing up when it mattered most. He was even with Rory going onto the final round for crying out loud, he beat him fair and square.

He played amazing. The problem is not the players, but the FedEx cup just giving too much money away with the 10 million dollar bonus. It’s great and all, but it confuses how important the regular season is when Rory the top earner got less than 8 mil for a year’s effort, while Billy Ho won 10 mil for playing best in 5 weeks, not even including his tournament winnings.

Players won’t stop playing of course, since they still earn their living throughout the year instead of just trying to bank on one cup, but in a world where money matters, no matter what the players say about the money not changing the way they live, and PGA trying to enhance the importance of the FedEx cup, they still need to find a balance.

You missed my point…I have no problem with Billy, not that he’s my favorite player. My problem is that his streak was no better than the streaks of other players this year, and yet his netted him 15+million dollars. They need to rethink the playoffs or the FedEx cup will lose its significance–I already couldn’t care less who wins it, as it’s just an indicator of who played well most recently, not over the whole season.

He just won $16 million in 3 weeks! You’re so money, Billy

If you look at iron lofts in the 3 and 4 and 5 its not that big gap wise… so… if you take weaken the 3 by 1* then you will have a 22* 3 iron with probably 2* of bounce easier to hit and not much loss in distance… now .. strengthen your 5-pw exactly 1* each… you now have a 4* variance between irons. Which in theory should give you more solid gaps. Thats what i play. 3 bent weak 1* and 5-pw bent 1* stronger. It also helps set my wedge gaps at an even 6* each. 46* pw 52* gw 58* sw. Yack yack yack… maybe thats why he did it… its only 13 clubs that way so i can experiment with another wedge or something.

What is that training aid that he is using?

So many questions! Why no 4 iron? Is the 3 iron bent weak or something? Seems like he loves to tweak the lofts on his clubs, but how are the woods bent, not to mention how are they that accurate (17.6 degree 5 wood). Finally, is it odd to have a different lie angle in the long irons? Seems odd to me, haha.

No 4-iron — he prob just prefers to have the gap there and carry extra wedges and/or woods. He may not have “4-iron” distance very often and would rather have the precision/spin of many full wedge options?

Doesn’t that WITB add up to 15 clubs?

I bet if that 6 iron was standard lie for last week, he would not have chunked it….

How many other tour players use the Z-Z65? I think it is a great shaft. But I just don’t hear about many tour players using it.

Several of the PING pros use the ZZ shaft. It’s a very good shaft. It’s much
like the current CFS shaft by PiNG.

standard z265 shaft is between the CFS S and X.
