Fujikura’s Marshall Thompson on how Ventus has become a top shaft on the PGA Tour

For years, Fujikura’s Ventus shafts have been one of the hottest shaft lineups in professional golf. Fujikura’s original line of Ventus shafts, in addition to their second-generation Ventus TR, can be seen all over the professional tours each weekend and throughout amateur bags across the country. Recently, Ventus recently took the top four spots in our Members Choice voting, with Fujikura Ventus TR Blue taking the top spot overall.
Lucas Glover recently enjoyed back-to-back PGA Tour wins with Ventus as a staple in his driver and woods. Glover uses the Fujikura Ventus Blue 7 X in his Srixon Z785 driver, the Ventus Black 8 X in his Ping G430 Max 3-wood, and the Ventus Black 10 X in his Ping G430 Max 5-wood.

Additionally, some of the biggest names in golf, including Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, use Ventus in both their drivers and fairway woods. While Viktor Hovland, Max Homa, and Cam Smith, also use different Ventus models in their 3-woods.

Three Swing Challenge: Testing the Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks A+ grind
![](https://www.golfwrx.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Blank-1014-x-768.png)
The first wedge has made its way to the Three Swing Challenge! This week we have the WedgeWorks A+ grind that was recently released by Vokey. BK is looking for a new 60-degree wedge, and this could be a contender.
Why three swings?
Many years ago, the legendary Barney Adams, founder of Adams Golf told us this:
“My formula as a fitter was three shots only. I discounted No. 1 just because it was the first one, counted 100 percent of No. 2 and discounted No. 3 because the player was starting to adjust.”
