TaylorMade launches all-new women’s line: Kalea Premier golf clubs

Published

on

TaylorMade has today introduced Kalea Premier, the company’s newest women’s set specifically engineered for lightweight speed, easy launch and maximum forgiveness.

With a weight-saving carbon crown and carbon sole, plus a 22-gram steel rear back weight, Kalea Premier is engineered to provide advanced forgiveness by combining a low-and-back CG with an ultra-lightweight head construction designed to promote faster swing speeds.

In addition, repositioning the Inertia Generator towards the heel aims to encourage optimal launch and spin to fuel distance at moderate and slower swing speeds.

“Kalea Premier is a combination of proven TaylorMade technologies, which are tuned specifically to give women in these segments the best performance, and the most visually stunning designs on the market. Our research has shown that women will no longer accept a half-hearted approach to product design in any industry. We’ve been continuously mindful of this and have created a design language that utilizes a combination of rich colors and refined textures with premium materials to create a sophisticated and elegant product line for women.” – Tomo Bystedt, Senior Director, Carbonwoods & Metalwoods

Kalea Premier also offers easy-to-launch designs with a 37 percent larger face than its predecessor. Designed to optimize forgiveness, each loft is the same size and features V Steel technology with refined weight distribution in a bid to offer maximum forgiveness and versatility.

The V Steel sole design helps the Kalea Premier Rescue produce high launching characteristics, while the lightweight construction of the clubs promotes faster swing speeds and, therefore, greater distance.

The irons are powered by Cap Back Design which seeks to offer stability within the topline and upper perimeter of the face, working in conjunction with the Speed Pocket to optimize face flexibility, ball speed and distance.

The Cap Back Design also bids to help minimize unwanted vibrations in the head to deliver a soft and solid feel.

The modern mallet brings the renowned Spider stability and forgiveness to head shape that is 15-percent more compact compared to Spider Tour. Pure Roll technology encourages optimal forward roll as well as a better sound and feel, while a long single sightline delivers the alignment aid.

The new range also includes a lightweight cart bag featuring a premium heathered nylon material with seven pockets, a 14-way top and a structured base, delivering a combination of functionality and clean aesthetics.

Kalea Premier is available for presale starting August 15 and at retail on October 14. The 11-piece package set has an MSRP of $1,699. The set includes driver, 5-wood, 5-Rescue, 6-Rescue, 7i-PW, SW, putter and bag.

Kalea Premier is also offered in a combo set with an MSRP of $999 and includes 5-Rescue, 6-Rescue, 7i-PW and SW. Individual clubs have the following pricing: driver $449, fairway $249, Rescue $199, irons (5-piece) $599 and putter $279.

What sucks is they still haven’t figured out that women could do with the same clubs just fine. An offshoot box set ain’t it, fellas.
