“I know where it is. I have an air tag on it. I can’t get anyone to actually go get it,” she explained.
The current Rolex #14 then credited her benefactors. “Monday I wore Megan Khang’s pants. Tuesday, I wore my sister’s pants and Wednesday I wore Alison Lee’s pants. And today I’m wearing FootJoy pants.”
Anything else missing besides the pants?
“Sponsor’s hats,” she said. “Wearing a Muirfield hat right now. A lot of my warm stuff. My hand warmers. My hands get really cold, so I wear gloves all the time. I’ve got a lot of heat patches for my lower back and my vitamins. Don’t have that.”
The episode may well have given her some impetus for the tournament.
“I gave up on it (the case) by Wednesday,” she said. “If it comes here, great, but if not, it is what it is. At this point,I’m playing a golf tournament.”
Despite all that, Korda is well positioned to have her best finish in 11 tries at the Women’s British Open, the best so far being a tied-fifth at Birkdale in 2014.
“You have to stay on it here at all times,” said Korda of the tough course.

A slightly oblique view of Phil’s statement. He wants to use Saudi ‘resources’ to teach the PGA a lesson. Saudi resources were used by Laden et al to ‘teach’ the US a lesson. Phil a home grown terrorist now? Have suspected for long that the guy is driven by money. Money is his religion, money his God. Golf is merely a messenger, a path.

Well said. I really do no’t think there is anything malicious by Phil. Its just someone who’s ego has grown so large that he believes he is fighting something of purpose. When these comments about greed are correct. He is pushing an envelope so far that now sponsors are dropping him.
I made similar mistakes in my lifetime as a top salesman being stroked and my actions had little to no consciences. Obviously a far difference from Phil level of $$ but making over a qtr of million a year my ego grew so large that I got all caught up in the company and its issues.
I ried fighting the very company who made me and helped me in the Tech business only to fall from the top and be unemployed with a 6m old baby girl.
I get it and unless you have been through it fully understand. But perspective is sometimes the only true influencer. Sounds like Phil needs some of his own.

All these other sports you mention the players get a guaranteed amount of money whether they play or not. They can take weeks or months off and still have money coming in. How much does Phil get from pga to take a week off or a month? Pga opened this up now mad about it.

Funny that you’re calling others stupid, while drawing equivalence between the actions of a government and private companies in the US, none of which are associated with the PGA tour.
Players who jump for the SGL are aligning themselves with the Saudi gov’t and all the negatives that come with that. No such alignment exists on the PGA tour.
Do you think the tour itself is guilty of human rights violations? Because otherwise you sound rather…stupid.

You just were dying to find a way to call California a commie state. Even though those players are all there this week at Riviera. The fact that it was at Pebble had nothing to do with it, bonehead. If you really graduated from 10th grade you’d understand that California is not even close to communism, which is state owned property.. You could exaggerate and label them socialist, but not communist. But you’re just parroting what you hear from others who are clueless.

You’re not wrong.
I’m 1000% sure that there is a lot more nuance and details that we’re not privy to regarding Phil’s “obnoxious greed” comment, but no matter how you slice it, it’s a bad look coming from him. Is the PGA tour greedy? Sure. It’s probably why they are where they are today. Is Phil greedy? Sure. Probably no less than the Tour.

my main issue is his use of so many buzzwords like “sportswashing” ‘murderous regime” and “human rights atrocities” (if they’re so atrocious then why cant you say one?? one???… i’ll wait)…
much simpler for brandel (who is also literally by definition a “highly paid ventriloquist puppet”) to say “how much did you charge for that statement, ‘greedy’ phil?”

I like Phil Mickelson, but in this case, he is standing in a glass house with a sharp stone. I wonder if Callaway, KPMG and Workday are wondering if Phil is going to wave the sponsorship fees they pay him, so that, you know, he won’t be seen as “greedy”, LOL. Sorry, Phil. It cuts both ways. Lastly, I don’t always agree with Brandel Chamblee either – I would guess few of us do. Then again, he isn’t being paid to make sure we agree with him. He’s paid to provoke debate – something he does very well much of the time. It’s show biz, folks.

Funny I’m not seeing any comments from Chamblee (or basically anyone else on the Golf Channel) slamming the Saudis but giving China a free pass for the Olympics. Seeing the travesty of their human rights record you hear very little from anyone.

Let me try to help. Phil made the comments that Brandel referred to last week, not during the 2020 Toyko games, and currently best I can tell is there is no golf in the 2022 winter games currently being held in China.
I agree with Brandel as often as I disagree with him. But in this case he’s doing his part to provide a different take on the Phil’s comments. That is what sports journalism is about. Phil can own his comments and we hopefully all realize that the Saudi golf league provide both moral and economic dilemmas for golf fans, professional golfers, and the PGA tour.

You’re right. I keep forgetting in America nowadays we can’t criticize one thing without criticizing everything. Thanks for the reminder. But I need to point out you forgot Korea, Yemen, Syria, Venezuela, and Nigeria. How can you call out China and give those other regimes a pass? Why, you must be just as bad as Brandel. Ronnie’s wrong… Brandel had a nice career… “Chamblee turned professional in 1985 and has one PGA Tour victory. He shared a first round lead at the Masters Tournament in 1999 and for six straight years was among the top-100 for money earnings on the Tour”. Tour card for almost 20 years and a win?? “Brandi’s never been a champion of anything. Those that can’t do, teach. Those that can’t teach, talk about it.”
Interesting, isn’t it, how contributions such as this choose to completely ignore the debate at hand and instead focus upon their personal dislike of the messenger. By this standard, we should pay no attention to reporters, observers, commentators and other experts as they’re not presently “champions” of something or other at precisely this exact moment. Oh, and resorting to tired cliches is hardly stimulating discourse. Everyone is entitled to voice an opinion on the tax-adverse, insider-trader, relentlessly dollar-hungry, attention-desperate, murderous regime-loving Phil Mickelson. Even you.
