I remember when Callaway came out with the Razr X Pro. One stock shaft option was the short-lived PX.95. Its 5.0 flex weighted 101 grams, 14 grams less than the PX 5.0.

I really liked the feel of the club, but opted instead to have my Calla X20 Tours refitted from PX to NS Pro 8950GH shafts. This was a shaft weight drop of 18 grams.

CORRECTION: Iron was Calla X Hot Pro with PX.95 shaft.

(I just got done reading another thread involving the Razr X iron family.)

Club Junkie: Reviewing Cobra’s Forged Tec irons and Callaway’s new Fairway golf bags!

Published

on

Cobra took one Forged Tec iron and split it into two options this year. The Forged Tec X is the larger iron that is pure speed and forgiveness. Almost a full club longer and with tight dispersion. The Forged Tec is for players looking for distance and feel in a smaller package.

Callaway designed the new Fairway 14 and Fairway + golf bags with push carts in mind. A totally redesigned top offers a secure mounting on even the roughest terrain.

Club Junkie: Review the Tour Edge C722 and E722 drivers and an update on my recent golf

Published

on

I have played some golf this past week and get into what is working and what is not out on the course. I also get time to review the new Tour Edge Exotics C722 and E722 drivers. They are both really long, low spin, and forgiving. The E722 is built to go long, high, and straight where the C722 is more compact and built for higher swing speed players.
