Brooks Koepka gives armlock putter a look at Houston Open

Published

on

Brooks Koepka was seen experimenting with an armlock putter ahead of this week’s tournament at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas (see Koepka’s WITB here).

A story from SIK Golf’s Instagram showed a picture of Koepka on the range with Pat Perez and his putter in-hand, which you can see below.

Brooks Koepka tries ARMLOCK PUTTER on PGA Tour days before Bryson DeChambeau tie

It is unlikely that Koepka will make the change to an armlock putter, but it is interesting that he is at least toying with the possibility a few weeks ahead of his match with Bryson DeChambeau, who employs a Sik armlock putter of his own.

Among the 150 players in the Houston Open this week, Brooks currently ranks 83rd in Strokes Gained: Putting in his past 50 rounds.

I have an armlock and love it. However, I did get a standard putter recently because I believe the USGA will probably ban them soon.

My CURE putter is so much better than those Sik putters, just sayin.
