The best TaylorMade drivers of all time – GolfWRXers discuss
In our forums, our members have been discussing TaylorMade drivers. WRXer ‘PlayIt’ is a big fan of the brand’s 320 Ti driver and reaches out to fellow members who have been sharing their favorite TM driver model in our forums.
Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.
- TM4me: “Been playing TM woods from the beginning. My R11S was in my bag for a long time, only recently replaced by an M1-440.”
- Luxor54: “Another vote for SLDR 430. I really need to get an appropriate shaft and put it back in the bag for a few rounds. Love the sound, a true bomber.”
- JoeFrigo: “I’ve played about 15 TM drivers….. I would go with R7 SuperQuad.”
- hammergolf: “For me, it’s been the Sim Max. The damn thing just goes straight and finds the fwy. Not sure if it’s twist face or just a really good fit, but hands down this club is the straightest driver I’ve ever hit.”
- R5Two: “The Sim/Sim 2 with an LA Golf shaft has been a monster. Great forgiveness, hot face and great trajectory. By far the longest combo I have hit. Surprise second was the TM Jetspeed. It was just a firm feeling face that launched the ball in the wind I prefer. Absolute beast. Nice firm feel much like the first SIM. Also gamed an R11.. ehh.”
- Arionalefty59: “R7 Superquad had the most aesthetically pleasing look at address. Hard to beat it.”

I like shiny and I like new. Therefore, I’ve been through my fair share of drivers over the years. But I always end up coming back to my 2006 Burner driver. Draws, fades, its a fairway finder. I’ll gladly sacrifice 10yds for the peace of mind it brings. Does it look as good as a Titleist at address, not even close. But, who cares.

M2 is my favorite by far!!

It’s the SIM/SIM2 with an honorable mention to both M2 iterations. Any other response is wildly incorrect and extremely off base

I second that-the SIM/SIM2 are distance monsters, the 2016/2017 M2 have most feel&feedback?
