TaylorMade launches limited-edition Ryder Cup inspired drivers

Published

on

Ahead of next week’s Ryder Cup from Whistling Straits, TaylorMade has launched two limited-edition drivers for both Team USA and Team Europe supporters.

The SIM2 Max drivers carry the colors of each team and are loaded with all of the technology in the regular SIM2 Max clubheads.

For the U.S. driver, that of course means the iconic Stars and Stripes detail on the clubhead, while the Europe edition contains a yellow and blue color scheme that has become synonymous with the European side.

The drivers come equipped with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 5 shaft as well as a Lamkin Crossline Black/Grey grip.

Both SIM2 Max limited-edition Ryder Cup drivers are available to pre-order now at TaylorMade.com for a price of $529.99 each.

Published

on

At GolfWRX, we love golf, plain and simple.

We are a community of like-minded individuals that all experience and express our enjoyment of the game in many ways. It’s that sense of community that drives day-to-day interactions in the forums on topics that range from best driver to what marker you use to mark your ball. It even allows us to share another thing we all love – buy and selling equipment.

Currently, in our GolfWRX buy/sell/trade (BST) forum, there is a listing for a Toulon Small Batch Happy Gilmore Hockey Stick putter (1/25)

From the seller (@jtarble): ” 1/25.  Brand New, barely been out of the box.  Even comes with his caddie’s sock! Haven’t seen many of these for sale, feel free to send an offer.  Setting the price at $3000 – If you want it, throw out a price, definitely willing to work with you.”

To check out the full listing in our BST forum, head through the link: Toulon Small Batch Happy Gilmore Hockey Stick putter (1/25)

This is the most impressive current listing from the GolfWRX BST, and if you are curious about the rules to participate in the BST Forum you can check them out here: GolfWRX BST Rules

Forgiving irons for a sweeper/picker of the ball – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing iron options for sweepers. WRXer ‘Chrisp’ is currently playing Nike’s VR Pro blades but is looking for the “playability of a blade but with a little more forgiveness”, and our members have been sharing their suggestions in our forum.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • xmanhockey7: “Don’t overlook the Apex Pros. They’re especially good if your miss tends to be a bit thin.”
  • randytrevor: “I would give New Level PF-2 a look unless you want to stick to big OEMs. So far these have been as good as anything out and provide just enough forgiveness. You won’t get a tiny profile, but they will look good at address. These have literally been my most favorite set of irons to date.”
  • Hougz79: “I’m a sweeper as well, and I love the turf interaction the P7MC gives me. I think they are reasonably forgiving if you are mostly on center for misses. They are very clean thru the turf IMO.”
