Tiger Woods’ backup Scotty Cameron fetches enormous sum at auction
A Tiger Woods backup Scotty Cameron putter was purchased over the weekend for the incredible sum of $154,928.
The putter was up for grabs through Golden Age Auctions who confirmed the news on Sunday. The putter was produced for Tiger back in 2001 in case his regular putter became damaged, and per Golden Age Auctions, the price tag paid makes it the world record price paid for a putter.
Scotty Cameron made Woods a backup putter nearly every year, and though Woods didn’t use the putter in tournament play, the 44-year-old would practice with the backup flat-sticks.
The putter holds the exact same specs and stamping as his regular gamer which he has used to win 14 of his 15 major titles.

I am wrong in remembering that this putter was sold a few years ago for $44k? Either way, someone better be “gaming” this putter, no reason to leave a Ferrari in the garage.
