Chris DiMarco calls Patrick Reed a cheater and a “d*ck” in social media rant

Published

on

On Sunday evening, former PGA Tour professional, Chris DiMarco, took to social media and unleashed an explicit rant directed at Patrick Reed following the Texan’s playoff defeat at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

DiMarco brandished Reed a cheater and a d*ck as he posted a series of tweets criticizing the 29-year-old’s character.

DiMarco’s outburst comes after a spectator at the event screamed “cheater” after Reed had struck his birdie attempt during the third playoff hole at Kapalua.

In case you missed it, Reed was penalized two strokes for an infraction in a waste bunker during the Hero World Challenge.

Says the guy who berated our girl working in the proshop for not getting a free cart (all parents paid $25) when his kid was playing a tournament at our course back in 09′. He literally pointed to his golf bag with a FL Gator on it that we had on display and said “do you now know who i am”? After that incident, any respect I had for Chris was out the window.

Says the d*ck who anchors his putter and has a fireplace worthy of a d*ck.

At least when a spectator shouted out he took it on the chin, unlike the child Thomas.

I found myself wanting Reed ti win the playoff after Xander was out. Hoping a Reed victory would have silenced all the Aussies down under!

Nothing says d*ck like a pack of virtue-signalling hyena hypocrites who cry that Reed cheats while pretending that they have never cheated. Yes, all golfers have cheated at some point. Did it really matter? Probably not. Reed took the penalty. Done. You want to know the definition of d*ck? Rory McIlroy. And a cheater too. Rory tried to cheat last year at WGC Mexico by standing on a cart path and make a chip-out swing through a tree to coerce a drop. Through a tree! Nevermind that. He’s the media darling. Regardless some people feel like they need to tear into others to make their own washed-up selves feel better. Right, Chris?

Reed is an amazing talent and player but he’s got a victim’s mentality and he’s a cheater. It’s not speculation. It’s on camera for the world to see whenever queried. All he had to do was own up to it and move forward but like a true sociopath he refused to accept any responsibility. And the fact that he has a history possessing questionable integrity doesn’t bid well for arguments that people are merely picking on him just because. Reed is a cheater.

Reed cant see sand behind the flange, or feel 1/2 inch on the take away. It looked like a beach. As long as there is some doubt…Reed deserve’s the benefit of the doubt. Camera view was behind the take a way…yet Reeds view was on top looking down blocked by 3in wedge flange…just sayn

These professional golfers have a level of feel and touch that is extremely precise. They can typically tell when they’re holding a club with 1/2 and 1/4 too much / too little loft. You’re telling me Reed couldn’t feel himself pushing sand away twice?! Also, the mound of sand behind the ball also looked completely different after the two practice swings.

He cheated, and he knew it.

Nothing says d*ck like that fake fireplace, tv above it,and taking a picture of said fireplace and tv to attach to a social media post calling the person on the tv a d*ck.

Did Reed cheat to win two (2) NCAA Championships at Augusta State? Two (2) NCAA Championships in a row? Cheated to win both?

People need to get over this Reed thing and move on. A couple years ago Lexi missed marked her ball on the green that looked obvious and i don’t remember anyone calling her a cheat. Reed violated a rule was assessed a penalty and moved on. There has been many people caught violating rules by TV and all were givin penalties and moved on. The golf channel loves to talk about his penalty. The thing of it is he violated a rule got penalized and moved on. I don”t need to here him say he was sorry. It’s over, forget about it.

I’m no fan of Patrick Reed, not because he has been caught cheating a number of times dating back to his college golf days, but because of his better-than-thou attitude. I don’t understand why he has to act that way. I thought originally it was because he was just a young kid who didn’t have a proper upbringing, but he’s 29 now. Time to grow up. That chip on his shoulder is bigger than his head and THAT’s pretty big to begin with, both literally and figuratively. He’s got a fabulous game, even when he doesn’t cheat, but his reputation has been ruined and he did it to himself. It’s such a shame to be that good and have a terrible rep. What a waste.

doug, what do you do for a living? make 50k at the local factory and sneak out to the muni once every two weeks when the kids are down and the wife isnt pissy? at least patrick reed is in a position where his rep matters.

According to the genius Jeremy….only people that have made a certain amount of money can have an opinion. And if you’re a factory worker? You definitely can’t comment about Patrick Reed the cheater. Jeremy, I hope you’re smarter than you appear.

A few years ago my then-middle school aged son and I were milling around the clubhouse at Crooked Stick near the end of the Sunday round of the BMW. Although the player’s exit was only a few feet away, we weren’t looking for autographs or really even paying much attention to who was leaving for that matter. We were waiting on some friends to meet us to leave the event. While waiting, Reed exited the clubhouse on his way to the parking lot. My son, who had his back to Reed, and I were the only patrons in the area. Reed tapped him on the shoulder as he walked by. He asked him if he’d enjoyed the day, how old he was, how his summer tournament season had gone, etc. The whole exchange took maybe 2 minutes. He had nothing to gain from this. Nobody else was around, no cameras. If he would’ve walked on by without noticing us we wouldn’t have thought anything of it. Does this mean I think Reed is a great guy, does it disprove all the other allegations levied at him in my mind? Of course not. What it does do, however, is convince me that whatever else Reed may be, there is more to him than what we see and hear.

Nice! I love hearing these kinds of stories. We all make mistakes, like calling someone a ‘d*ck” on twitter or shoveling sand with a wedge, but it’s really about how or if we overcome those mistakes. I can tell you one thing I know for sure…name calling never helps anyone. Surely there’s a better way to articulate your point. Then again, that comment came from a guy who named his first born son Christian. Way to go DiMarco, thanks revealing your true character.

Finally someone said it. Seriously how can anyone defend Reed anymore? It is one incident after another.

His doing mistakes since College and seems to never learn from them. One thing after another and he dosen’t seem to have an honest bone in is body. A shame for the sport of golf.

Reid is a cheater. You can tell in the interviews he is trying not to be a conceded dick but he doesn’t hide it well. Dude can win when the stakes are high in team competition, but integrity is everything.

Pew Poll shows international respect for US President has dropped from 64% with Obama
to 30% with Trump. Lies more than 15,000 documented times in three years.

Sports figures in baseball(steal signals in World Series), cheat in NFL championships.

Nothing unusual about Patrick Reid… get used to it.

Golf fans react to Brooks Koepka’s wild dance moves at Sports Illustrated party

Published

on

Four-time major champion Brooks Koepka made a distinguished appearance with his fiancé, Jena Sims, at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch party this Saturday.

Always a stoic presence on the course, the video below of Koepka’s dance moves certainly caught golf fans by surprise.

The viral video provoked a myriad of reactions from golf fans alike. Takes ranged from, “He became one of my favorites after this video. He gives zero f*** about what you all think him on and off the course. Brooks Koepka, keep doing your thing,” to “This dude makes Bryson look cool and that’s nearly impossible.”

One thing we can all agree on is that Koepka certainly knows how to let loose when he is not in the heat of the battle.

While he turned down the chance to compete in the Tokyo Men’s Olympic Golf competition, Koepka is set to return to action next week in Memphis at the WGC- Fed-Ex St. Jude’s Classic.

Grayson Murray speaks out on alcoholism, PGA Tour’s role in helping those with substance abuse issues (Tour responds)

Published

on

In a lengthy social media post over the weekend, professional golfer Grayson Murray spoke candidly about his own battle with alcoholism and his corresponding frustration with the PGA Tour’s role, or lack thereof, in helping those with substance abuse issues.

After withdrawing from the 3M Open on Friday, Murray admitted that “he hates everything that has to do with PGA Tour life,” and stated the Tour has not once reached out to offer any “advice or help with how to deal with the life of becoming a PGA Tour pro.”

The PGA Tour responded to GOLF.com’s request for comment regarding Murray’s tweet with the following statement

“We can unequivocally say that the PGA Tour is a family, and when a member of that family needs help, we are there for him. That has been the case here and will continue to be.”

Many fans and PGA Tour pros, including Phil Mickelson, offered their support in response to his tweet.

Grayson Murray turned professional in 2015 and earned his PGA Tour card for the 2017 season. In July of 2017, he earned his first PGA Tour win at the Barbasol Championship. This season has been a more difficult proposition, as Murray has missed his last seven cuts.

Former pro labels Matt Wallace a ‘disgrace’ after club throw

Published

on

Last week at the Wales Cazoo Open, Matt Wallace was filmed throwing a club in anger, following his second shot at the par-4 16th hole during his final round on Sunday.

As one would expect, Wallace garnered his fair share of criticism as soon as the video hit social media.

In particular, a former European Tour pro was not amused. Retired golfer Gary Evans, who finished inside the top 100 in the European Tour’s Order of Merit every year from 1992 through 2004, weighed in on social media, saying:

“What is the matter with these guys? I mean Wallace and Hatton are a disgrace to the profession. This kind of behavior might happen once or even twice in an entire career but these guys do it weekly. What does the European Tour do about it?”

Wallace went on to finish in eighth place after a final-round 70, good for his fourth worldwide top-10 of the season. He has yet to give any comment regarding the behavior in question.
