Company lost me after doing a second amendment headcover right after 2 mass shootings. They should have stuck to their bases on trying to emulate Scotty Cameron’s themes and not tried to make one on their own accord.

Bryson photobombs Brooks’ U.S. Open interview…and social media loves it

Published

on

The ongoing saga between Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Kopeka took a backseat on Thursday as the opening round of the 2021 U.S. Open got underway.

However, despite the two being kept away from each other in terms of tee times, there was still time for a little light drama courtesy of Bryson.

As Brooks was getting set to do his post-round interview, the 27-year-old decided to have some fun and jumped into shot – which social media users enjoyed immensely.

“Bryson is awesome”, wrote one user on Twitter; another said, “Childish and perfect”, while many golf fans also believe that the playful incident is a sign that the two are ready to smooth things out.

As for how the two performed, Brooks enjoyed a much better day on the course firing a confident round of two-under par while Bryson kept himself in touch at 2-over.

Check out the plaque honoring Tiger Woods’ 2008 U.S. Open heroics at Torrey Pines

Published

Tiger Woods may not be at Torrey Pines this week, but the 15-time major champion will always be synonymous with the venue primarily because of his epic win at the 2008 U.S. Open.

The 45-year-old’s heroics that week at Torrey Pines will never be forgotten, as Woods defied all the odds on a fractured leg to win his 14th major.

To honor that victory, the USGA and city of San Diego will host a ceremony today, which will include the unveiling of a plaque celebrating Woods’ stunning 12-foot putt to force a playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open.

The ceremony will be hosted by San Diego mayor Todd Gloria, San Diego city council president Jennifer Campbell and United States Golf Association president Stu Francis and will take place at Torrey Pines’ 18th green.

Bryson on ‘Brooksy’ shouts: ‘I love it, I think it’s hilarious’

Published

on

Bryson DeChambeau will begin the defence of his U.S. Open title tomorrow at Torrey Pines amid an ongoing feud with Brooks Koepka.

The 27-year-old began receiving the heckling shouts of “Brooksy” at the Memorial where it was reported that fans participating in the shouts were being removed from the course by security.

At Torrey Pines this week, Bryson has been discussing the “Brooksy” shouts as well as the fans involved, as the rivalry between the two shows no signs of cooling off.

“I’m always going to be trying to play my game and not really worry too much about what other people are doing. I think there are just times where, if it gets outside the scope of just integrity and honour, yeah, that can get a little interesting.

At the same point in time, all of it’s been good fun. It’s been fun. Shoot, to be honest, people saying Brooksy’s name out there, I love it. I think it’s hilarious.”

The pair have been kept apart for the opening two rounds of the event, much to the disappointment of many fans. However, Bryson is already thinking ahead to the weekend, where a blockbuster pairing could grab plenty of new eyeballs.

“There’s a point where it’s great banter,. I personally love it. I think that, as time goes on, I hope on the weekend we can play against each other and compete. I think it would be fun and would be great for the game.”
