Reminds me of the x20 Tours, which were very straight or the old forged from 04. What year did these debut?

Highly deflationary for the OEMs. Proof we don’t need whatever’s the newest in order to be good.

Allthough, he left the driver out and carried a 2 iron when he won today. Dont know the loft of that 2 iron.

A weakened 2 iron, 19 degrees.

@Nathan, he seldom have the 3iron in the bag, d,3w,5w, 4,5,6,7,8,9, 4 wedges and a putter makes 14 clubs.

Aug 20, 2017 at 8:56 pm
I wonder what the distance difference is between the 5w and the 4i.
Robert Peterson
Aug 20, 2017 at 10:16 pm
Not quite. Usually has 3 iron, usually doesn’t have 4 wedges (added 50*)
Stan67
Aug 21, 2017 at 3:52 pm
Nope. Stenson usually carries: D, 3W(!), 5W, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW, 52, 58, P.
R.Q.
Aug 21, 2017 at 5:36 pm
Okay, but I still wonder what distance difference there is between his 5W and 3i.
It could be 20+ yards!

Lofts on the irons are interesting.
Is there a photo showing the 3 iron loft? Is it 18* ??

Look at that huge blob of steel on the toe of those ugly Cally Legacy irons. Couldn’t they have put a plug of high density tungsten into the toe and eliminated all that steel overhang?
BTW, I love that WITB lime green umbrella!

It’s part of the design aesthetic. The heel has the same. (agree the clubs are ugly though)

These are the JDM forged s20 steel irons that people have been drooling over for a long time, and the general consensus is they are superb looking and playing. There are several threads in the forum section about the Legacy Black irons. In fact, you two are the first people I have heard that think these are ugly.
Ian

Agreed
Good looking irons.

Ping and TM use tungsten inserts for toe weighting and this makes their clubs look more sleek and the CG is closer to the face too. The Legacy looks like it’s got a swollen toe hanging out there. UgLY!

Almost EVERY WITB that we’ve ever seen proves that professional golfers don’t care how the clubs look in the bag, but how it performs for their game. If they care about looks, it’s at address.
It’s fine if your bag is all about visual appeal, as long as you can admit it, and accept that your game may suffer for the sake of visual aesthetic.

IOW you are what toys you own and not what you can do. That’s the gearhead song.
