Loving Patrick Reed…

Brash, occasionally arrogant, outbursts of profanity and some questionable episodes in his past, Patrick Reed is a divisive figure in the world of golf. But on the heels of his win at The Barclays, a lot of GolfWRXers are finding a lot to love in the Sunday red and black-wearing Texan. Scooterboy59 started a thread dedicated to Reed appreciation, in fact.

Clubs everyone loves (but you)

WRXer Mitchell’s Circle-T Laguna

Good topic, this one. We all know the sexy makes and models everyone seems to love. Mizuno MP 33s, anything Miura, Circle Ts, the Ping G30, etc. This phenomenon struck user sfdoddsy in relation to a particular set of irons he demoed that forums (this and others) seem to love. So he started the thread detailing his experience and asked if anyone else had experienced something similar.

Does anybody still wear khaki?

In a world of white pants (and shorts) everywhere (thanks, PGA Tour), user Scooter McGavin asks: “Does anybody still wear khaki pants or shorts?” And further, McGavin wonders, what does one pair them with? (Answer: Khaki is a neutral color…so anything that isn’t so close in color it clashes). If you’ve had a similar sartorial conundrum, you’ll want to check out this thread.

Praising the open stance…

The “Instruction & Academy” forum doesn’t get a lot of run in FTF, so here’s a thread that gives you a taste of the sort of discussion and debate that goes on among the swing technicians there.

In this thread, user skyking relates how he’s seen a dramatic improvement in his ballstriking simply by opening his stance. He asks other WRXers if they’ve ever seen similar results and questions what the specific reason for improvement might be.

From the Forums: How are you liking TaylorMade’s Qi10 fairway woods?

In our forums, our members have been discussing TaylorMade’s new Qi10 fairway woods. WRXer ‘ace036’ plans on testing them in the next few weeks, saying: “from how they look from address and frame the ball is much more appealing to my eye versus my current Paradym fairway woods.” And our members have been sharing their positive feedback in our forum.

Edwardsr: “I got fit into the Qi10 core model with Ventus TR Black 8X and it’s absolutely amazing for me.During the fitting with my 12-15 swings with it, it was the most efficient combo I’ve ever tested, tons of 1.48 smash and 3 or 4 1.49 smash (which I don’t think I’ve ever gotten on 3 wood on a launch monitor).”
MiloMalt: “No complaints and so far only high praise for my Qi10 Tour 3 and 5 wood. I’m getting great numbers and a nice penetrating ball flight with great height whereas with my old TSi2 4 wood it was spinny and ballooning and short because of that.”
courcy75: “The Qi10 Tour 3 wood I just put in play has been outstanding for me. Finally found something I like as much as the 07 burner tp.”
