Giveaway: Aldila Rogue 125 MSI Shafts

Published

on

Aldila’s Rogue Limited Edition 125 MSI shafts are the hottest shafts on the PGA Tour, with 10 PGA Tour wins to date. They’re also very pricey — $799 MSRP — and very limited.

But we’ve got your back.

Enter our giveaway, and you can be one of five lucky GolfWRXers to win the same shafts being used by some of the best players on the PGA Tour, courtesy of Aldila.

To enter, go to our forum giveaway thread and:

  1. Post why you’d like to try the Rogue.
  2. What weight/flex you’d choose should you win.

All entries must be made by May 4 at 11:59 p.m. ET. If you’re not a GolfWRX Forum Member, join here so you can enter the contest.

Weights available: 50 (TX flex only), 60 and 70 grams. Due to the extremely limited nature of the 50TX shaft, a tour-only model at this time, only one 50TX shaft is available in this giveaway. See Aldila’s website for more information on the Rogue shafts.

The Aldila’s Rogue Limited Edition 125 MSI would be an experience that I would probably never get to have otherwise. I love golf, along with everyone else on this website, and every time there is a chance to perform better you have to go after it. Given the opportunity to use one of Aldila’s top of the line shifts I would have to go with the Tour Silver 60 with a TR flex.

Just graduated from hickory shafts here in Australia – far from everything.
Would love to have a Aldila Rogue 125 MSI 70X in my R15.
Happy to pay the postage (steamboat or Fed-ex) if lucky enough to be moved into the modern age of Aldila Rogue.

I currently play the Rogue silver 60X and if I would win I’d like the rogue 125 TX in my 915 D2.

It would be a real treat to try out a Tour quality shaft, especially one that has been so successful so soon. I have never used anything other than a stock shaft in my driver. For me, I would like to try the TX 60.

I currently play the Adila RIP Alpha 70X I hadn’t found a shaft that yet performs as well for me. Always been an Adila fan looking to hopefully give this a try and replace my old shaft. I would choose the 70 X-Stiff.

I would love to try the 70S. I currently game the Fuji Fuel 60S, but have the Tour Blue 70S in my SLDR 3-wood and love it. I’d really like to find a great feeling shaft like the tour blue with a lower launch bias for the driver. I have experimented with the Diamana S+ 70S this year and have to dial down the loft to get a good piercing flight. This shaft would fit perfectly, I believe.

I am pretty sure I could out drive Bubba, score with the cart chicks and win mad skins at the Country Club if I could just win the Tour Silver 60 TS. Say good bye to my extra stiffy hickory shafts and say hello to my little Rogue light saber. I’m pretty sure it would look something like this on the first tee……https://youtu.be/3GJOVPjhXMY

I would like to try the 50 TX flex rogue 125 MSI. I used to own a small golf shop in huntington beach california. I remember re-shafting from dynamic gold x-100, EI-70 , taylor made bubble shaft!. I invested in a golf club company called Golfgear international until it went bankrupt. I learned a lot about modulus in golf shafting and how important it can be in shaft building. Although i stepped away from golf business for awhile now due to slow economics, I am still fascinated by the ever improving technology of golf industry especially in shaft R&D and Club head development. I would love to try the 50 TX flex and see how ultra light shaft can perform with all the technology under the hood.

    2. Aldila rogue 50 TX
    Thank you

I’ve struggled to find a shaft in the last 2 years that doesn’t spin too much after my voodoo xxpp7 shattered at the tip I’ve burnt through a ton and I want to try the best of the best. A rogue 125 70 tx

Would love to give this a try. I have been gaming a driver I got out of a wooden barrel 10 years ago. Everything in my bag has been updated except for my driver. My game has improved by leaps and bounds and I am finally at a point where I need a driver fit for me.

The 70 gram stiff would be ideal. I would most likely put it on a bio cell+ head.

Why Ludvig Aberg is my new favorite player – GolfWRXers discuss

Published

on

In our forums, our members have been discussing one of the new sensations in the world of golf – Ludvig Aberg. The 24-year-old finished solo second at the Masters a couple of weeks ago, and gained many plaudits, including from several WRXers.

One member, RoyalMustang, took to the forums to explain why Aberg is now their favorite player, saying:

“I loved the way the Ludvig was out there, having a great time, not taking himself or the situation too seriously. Even after the double at 11, he was like “well, that’s golf!” Loose and relaxed: that’s the way to play. It’s obvious he loves what he’s doing, he loves the big moments, and he loves being a part of it all.

Arnold Palmer was viewed that way. Just like Brooks Robinson was forever viewed as not just a great baseball player, but a great human being and friend to Baltimore.”

And our members have been reacting and sharing their positive takes on the young Swede.

Here are a few posts from the thread, but make sure to check out the entire discussion and have your say at the link below.

  • redfirebird08: “Ludvig has a great attitude, a great smile, and a great golf swing.”
  • otto6457: “I’m very lucky to have talked with Ludde several times at the Rawls Course at Texas Tech.  He’s a truly nice guy and very friendly.  Always said hello when we passed each other in the club house and was always smiling. Watching him hit balls on the range was a joy.  He has “that sound” and trajectory to die for.  There were many times he was out on the range in 30+ mph winds just hitting the most beautiful shots that just seemed to ignore the wind.  World class ball striker. And yes……..I am a fan boy.”
  • konklifer: “I like him. In an era of endless waggles and laboring, his swing and pace of play are a joy to watch.
