Cobra Bio Cell+ Fairway Woods
Cobra’s new Bio Cell+ fairway woods are designed with better players in mind, with a lower, more forward center of gravity than the company’s Bio Cell fairway woods to promote a more penetrating trajectory.
“In an effort to continually improve upon our top-performing products, we worked in collaboration with some of our Tour players to design the club head on our BiO CELL+ Fairways,” said Jose Miraflor, director of product marketing at Cobra. “The clubs have a great look and feel and are purpose-built to deliver exactly what Tour-level players need.”
The ultra-compact fairway woods have extremely thin 455 carpenter-stainless-steel faces, and include the company’s new MyFly8 adjustable hosel that allows golfers to choose from five different lofts (12 to 15 degrees on the 3-4 Wood, 16 to 19 degrees on the 5-7 Wood) and three “draw” settings, which make the clubs more upright. Cobra’s Smart Pad, a specially designed strip on the club’s sole, ensures that the face angle of the clubs will remain relatively square throughout loft and lie adjustments.
The Bio Cell+ fairway woods come stock with a Matrix “Red Tie” 6Q3 shaft, but golfers have the option to order a custom shaft with no upcharge. The custom shaft options are Mitsubishi Rayon’s Diamana D+ “White Board” 72 shaft and True Temper’s Project X PXv Tour 53-gram shaft. The clubs will hit stores on Feb.7, and will sell for $249. They’re available in five colors: black, orange, silver, red and blue.

Love the review. Was thinking of getting 913f, but might change my mind now. What head size is the 5-7 bio cell + fairway? I know the 3-4 is 148cc. Is the 5-7 same size or smaller again?

What is the head size / volume (cc) of the bio cell + 5 – 7 fairway?. Can’t seem to find it anywhere. Was going to get a 913f but this review has me thinking otherwise

Lol a 5 to 7 wood that doesn’t go over 20degrees? I remember when some 5 woods came in at 21degrees

The club number means nothing now, it’s all about the loft. They should just remove the club number.

I like the compact head shape and option for a whiteboard at no cost. I don’t care for the cosmetics though. The face is deeper which suits me better and it has a nice range of adjustibility. If they made one with a gloss black crown and black/silver bottom I’d be on the pre-order train!

How is that a 3-4 wood? it has a range of 12-15*

Ya those lofts are pretty darn strong… I bet the 3 wood set at 12* is a rocket though.
