The Scorecard: The Barclays

The scorecard is a weekly wrap up of the most important numbers from the previous week’s PGA Tour event.

The Front Nine

2 — The improved Official World Golf Ranking of winner Adam Scott. He began the year at No. 7.

0 — Number of bogies made by Scott in the final round.

5 — The number of players who at least had a share of the lead during the final round on Sunday.

75 — Percentage of fairways hit for Scott during the week (Graham Delaet was the leader at 91.1 percent).

$1,440,000 — The check Scott earned for win.

1.70 — The putts per GIR for Scott, tied for 22nd.

4.25 — The difference, in inches, between Scott’s putter (49) and driver (44.75). See all of his clubs here.

4 — The number of rounds in the 60s for second-place finisher Tiger Woods.

8 — The finish by Woods marks his eighth top-10 of the 2013 season in only 13 starts.

0.79 — The difference, in strokes to par, between the easiest (No. 6 at -0.48 to par) and toughest (No. 9 at +0.31 to par) holes at Liberty National Golf Club.

62 — The new course record at Liberty National Golf Club set by Kevin Chappell in the third round — he finished at 6-under, tied for 15th.

22 — The number of birdies recorded by Gary Woodland this week –- he finished T2 at 10-under.

314.9 — The average driving distance of Rory McIlroy, who lead the field in the category.

2 — The number of hole-in-ones recorded on No. 14 Saturday (K.J. Choi and Greg Chalmers) in consecutive groups

40 — The number of yards Tiger Woods’ second shot finished left of the green on his approach to the par-5 No. 13 in the final round. According to Woods, back spasms were the source of his pain and uncharacteristically wild shot.

162 — The number of points that Scott is behind leader Tiger Woods in the FedExCup standings.

100 — The number of players who advanced to this week’s Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston for the second event of the Playoffs.

GolfWRX is on site this week in McKinney, Texas, at the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson (FKA the AT&T Byron Nelson).

Last year at TPC Craig Ranch, Jason Day ended a five-year winless streak. J-Day is in the field again, as are Jordan Spieth, Tom Kim, and Will Zalatoris.

Photos from the 2024 RBC Heritage

GolfWRX is on site this week at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island for the RBC Heritage. Plenty of golfers who competed in the Masters last week will be making the quick turnaround in the Lowcountry of South Carolina as the Heritage is again one of the Tour’s Signature Events.
