Do you purchase clothing, shirts/shorts/pants from your course proshop? Why or Why Not? Price? Selection? etc...?

Just hats! Maybe souvenir t-shirts for friends and family. Just don't like the selection, maybe when they start selling Lacoste or Burberry.

I buy golf clothing exclusively at courses. I am a big fairway greene fan. I also find it funny that a club logo would bother someone because I would much rather have a club logo than a company logo. if Nike isn't paying me I am not going to advertise for them.

Hats at a course I like, for sure. But the clothing is hard to find in smaller sizes... not everyone is a porker.

We get a 35% discount which makes it cheaper than any of the large golf or dept store chains. I refuse to wear company logos but a club logo is a good conversation starter when you are visiting another area of the country.

I buy hats from the pro shops..just bought one yesterday. Anyways I don't buy the clothing..not because I don't want to support my course and I'd much rather wear that then a company logo but the stuff is just to expensive for me to buy.

Not only is course clothing overpriced when compared to normal high end golf stuff, Its also stocked in sizes only big enough to double as a boat sail. At my courses I can't find a small and would be hard pressed to even get a medium.

Besides the discount we get, one of the great advantages we have in buying clothes from our pro shop is that we can place special orders for sizes and/or colors that aren't in stock if we want to. The turn around time is pretty quick.

i always buy shirts from my club, we get 20% off as well...but we have a $38 rack in the back corner. I always shop on that rack especially when I paid 115 for the shirt and 4 days later it was on the $38 rack err hah.

In China - never. Massively overpriced and often in very poor taste.
But every time I get over the play the Royal Bangkok Sports Club course in Thailand I stock up on their shirts. Great quality, last for many years and masses of choices.
Highly recommended to any of you guys thinking of making a trip over there.

Once in a while. I am not into the really high end shirts that are typically carried, but I will buy 2 or 3 shirts per year and a hat here and there. Most of my shirts I get off eBay. There is some stuff you can't find elsewhere like the "tour logo" stuff (Ashworth, Callaway and Ping). There are great deals to be found there as well.

Oh come on, zojo. We all know you meant to say 'skirts' not shirts.

And I only buy clothes at the Pro Shop if I win a gift certificate in a tournament for the Pro Shop.
