I've only ordered their cash covers but if you are on the fence about ordering something from Piedmont, don't hesitate. Jay's customer service and craftmanship are off the charts.

I have one from Piedmont...White gator strap.  I've had plenty of complements on that one.  It was a pretty big purchase for me, but I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Jay again.

Thinking about buying one of these....what would you guys recommend as a first purchase (python, bison, lizard etc.)?  I'm pretty tame with my style, so probably would just go with black.

Thanks!

Huge Patrick Gibbons Handmade fan here, so I'd recommend starting off with one or two of his lizard straps. Unbelievable quality,  detail, and customer service.

They are fragile.  I have 1 Python belly and 1 whip snake belly.  It's not an everyday belt and must be very careful when putting on and taking off.

Sorry not trying to be insulting, but what is the allure of these belts? Trying to learn, it could influence my direction. I tend to focus more on buckle than strap...

For me it's about style and the straps look great when coordinated correctly with the shirt, shorts, and shoes.
Plus I've lost a bunch of weight and now back to being a flatbelly so I look good....:)
