The info was buried in another post on here. It was either in the bio cell thread or the bio cell thread in tour and per release equipment. If I find it I'll post a link, but I'm only on my phone now so searching will be difficult.

If you search you'll find it. And if you think about it, it makes sense. This head may be lower spin, buy no way its so much that a player would go from 8.5 in an ACP to 11.5 in the standard bio cell.

Info is all in this witb thread. I can't verify any of the info so its up to you if you believe it or not. To me it makes more sense than him playing 11.5.

Is the number upside down from its normal orientation?  Assuming that makes a difference.

I would guess the left handed adapter plays exactly opposite of the right. 11.5 = 8.5, 11=9, etc. I would also guess the draw settings would play open. This is the only sense I can make out of him using the left handed adapter.

Oh gawd, I totally forgot, apologies for that.

I've just asked my Pro to email me them over, and he's just got back to me.

~These were done on Flightscope, outdoor range, 50* air temperature, 10mph right to left wind, so not ideal for a Lefty like me, but no excuses, that's Golf!

SS 101mph
BS 150mph
Launch angle* 11.6*
Spin rate 2100rpm
Carry 238 yards
Total 259 yards

* Set at 11.5 degrees.

As you can see, these numbers are not good for me. I need more launch angle, and because my ball speed is down by around 6mph, this is not a good fit for me. I think I'll trade the Kiyoshi White for a Veylix Alpina or Aldila Tour Blue, which may bring that launch angle up a little and hopefully get that ball speed up to around 155mph, which is closer to where I usually am.

Really sorry for the late reply.

Lol. Yeah true I guess, just wish I could get back that 5mph and 2* more launch angle. I'll trade the Kiyoshi White I think.

Jay, are you sure you were finding the center of the face? I can understand launch being low, but the drop in ball speed doesn't make sense to me.

Just stopped by GG at lunch and they had one plus in stock. This is my first time seeing it in person and I loved it. I would compare these two drivers in looks to the 913d2 and d3. The plus is more like the d3, with a more compact looking head and deeper face. The regular model has a slightly shallower face, more like the d2.

These are just my visual impressions only. The plus was set at the 9.5 setting and actually looked a tad closed at address compared to the bio cell set at 10.5. Most likely this was due to the floor interaction with the smart pad. Regardless, I can see myself gaming either model, buy I much prefer the look of the plus. I may swing by after work and hit one against the other in the bay and see what the numbers look like between the two. They also had an sldr demo that I'll swing for reference as well.

I can fully understand the reason for your question, and it's a very good one. What I can say is that my PTR/smash factor wasn't too bad @ 1.48-1.49. The thing is, that I have to remember that I hit around 30 balls to get these numbers, so the although there is an average, the differentiation between good and bad was fairly severe, and more than I would like. Now, obviously I can sit here and make excuses for long Golfless winters, and the swing at this time of year being rusty, which may have some affect of course, but I remember some shots launching at 13.5* and some at 9*, some spin rates at 1800rpm and some at 2800rpm, so in that respect you may well be right in saying there could be some issues of variances of where I was hitting off the face.

There is some 'Indian' element, rather than all 'arrow', but I wasn't too keen on the heavy inconsistences in launch angles and spin rates. This may be partly down to where I was hitting on the face of course. But its why they may have been all over the face that bothers me. And in the past, I have found a change of shaft can often sort that out.

After I did the Flightscope on the Bio Cell, I was due for a fitting for a hybrid and fairway with some Ping guys at a fitting day at my Club, and I hit the i25 hybrids and Fairways, and was pretty much striping them, with very consistent ball flights and Trackman numbers, so I knew I was swinging pretty well on the day, and my ball speeds were very comparable to my Summer ball speeds with a hybrid and fairway.

With those Bio Cell numbers I know I've lost 15 yards, but that's not to say the Driver is a bad one, it's not, its just a bad fit for me. I can pretty much guarantee, that going with a slightly less stout shaft will sort these numbers out. The Ping fitter certainly agreed with me, but as I was there for a fairway/hybrid fit, his time is very limited to do a Driver fit as well, but he certainly thought the Kiyoshi White was just a tad stout for me, and going softer would help with consistency, both of strike, and ballflight.

According to the Golfwrx review on the regular head Bio Cell, the face goes from .5 * open at the lowest setting (8*) up to .75* closed at the 12* setting.  That would make the 10.5 setting to be almost square (about 1/8th degree~ closed).  If Ricky is playing it at 8.5, it would be slightly open anyway.

Actually, the regular head goes from 9 to 12. Maybe 11.5 in the left hand lets the head play under 9*? I don't know for certain why he's doing it. I'm just throwing out my best guess.

For those worried about the elimination of the fade settings, I would tell you not to worry. I tried one with the kiyoshi gold the other day and it looked open to my eye when the loft was knocked all the way down.

I am interested in that combo as well, was torn between kyoshi gold and AD DI. Both have worked well for me in the past getting launch up a bit without adding too much spin.

This thing made the Ad-DI feel like garbage. IMO I never loved the DI but this kiyoshi gold is very smooth. I Actually was getting bad numbers with it because I was getting launch of 18*-19* with it however if you need higher launch and want something that feels smooth definitely give it a shot. The combo of this in the + felt absolutly incredible!

Hmmmm, interesting. I was worried about the Kiyoshi Gold, because of the inference of the stiff butt section, which is a profile that normally doesn't suit me, but now you've said it's still pretty smooth, it may be worth, at least, giving it a try. It may be a better option for me than my Kiyoshi White.

Just hit it at GG against the sldr with the stock 57 speeder in x. Demo'd both in 9.5*. They actually had the red tie in x for the bio plus as well. Numbers weren't that different. I was launching the sldr in the 14-16 range consistently at around 3000-3100. Never did get it below the 3000 mark. The cobra was in the 2900-3000 range. I would still give the spin nod to the sldr head given the shaft that was in it. But my longest of the two drivers was from the cobra. Accuracy was much better as well.

The plus just fit my eye and felt really natural. Coming from playing the r1, then hitting the sldr ahead of the plus, well,  feel was awesome. I always felt the tMags lacked feel and sound.

I would say the $220 ones were bio cell's and not plus's. I snagged my plus off ebay for about $325 shipped. Top rated seller so I'm not too worried about my purchase. I think $75 off retail isn't much to be worried about. If it was a bio cell + for $200 and new seller, I'd be nervous.

Did you guys get plus's for the $200, or were they regular bio cell's?

Picked up a new bio+ head on eBay from a reputable seller for $190. It still had the plastic on it when it arrived. Bought a tip separately and shafted it up. Sweet driver. Need to try it outside with other shafts though.

$229 Bio Cell PLUS MATRIXRED TIE. SELLER HAS 100 percent positive feedback. Should have it by end of week.  Will let everyone know

How does the Matrix Red Tie play?  True to flex, or on the stout side in a given flex?  Thanks...

Plays on the stout side in my opinion, similar to the way it plays in the adams if you have had a chance to hit that.

Mine was from a seller with 100% feedback and a lefty so odds are pretty slim it's a fake.
