Anyone familiar with TaylorMade's TP red and black golf balls? Are they manufactured in the US? I've heard that it was originally a Maxfli ball...any truth to that?

My understanding is that only TaylorMade TP balls are manufactured in their South Carolina plant and all their others (Maxfli, etc) are manufactured in either South Korea, Taiwan or China. My understanding is that their proprietary polyurethane cover is the reason. Is there any long term TaylorMade plan to move all manufacturing overseas? I know that Callaway and Titleist's top shelf balls are still manufactured in the US and Nike subs theirs out to Bridgestone in Japan. Published reports are that the tp red and black are performing at or above pro v1 and pro v1x. Are they making any headway in market share?
