Golfsmith had an x2hot event today and I got to hit the new line.  The 3 hybrid was easy to hit and very long. These seem almost fairway distance long.   Was getting close to 240 yards and liked the feel of the tour blue shaft.  Would also like to try the tour green shaft in the non-pro head as well.  The ball just explodes off the face.  Will have to give some thought to the correct lofts for distance gaping.

have you hit the original? I have a 16 degree X hot pro and it's probably my favorite hybrid ever. I plan on hitting the X2 but tough to imagine it being better. I loved the PXv in the original

anyway, i'm not sure Golftown has these yet. Have not been there in a while

I actually don't hit the Xhot Pro super long so depending on the shaft i might believe that. I spin the PXv a little more then what i'd call "ideal" but that is also why it works for me. I hit it very straight and high, i can land it soft. etc....i actually hit my 18.5 degree RBZ tour further (shaft length is the same) and surprisingly lower aswell. But the Callaway gives me what i need

I'll hit the X2 but probably won't buy it. I'm not really interested in more distance with that spot in the bag

I just noticed that the 3 hybrid is the lowest stock loft in the regular version.  I was thinking a 2 hybrid could be a fairway wood replacement.  The pro 16* should be a distance monster but would lose some forgiveness compared to the regular.  The pro has a noticeably smaller profile.

Very lively feel off the face. The tour green shaft was smooth, and the new head shape was pleasing to my eye.

I have an X-Hot Pro 20* hybrid and I hate it. I've been playing the Adams A7 (and more recently the A12 Pro) hybrids and the XHP is not even close. The XHP face is too shallow and I hit moon balls with it. I'm hoping the new X2HP will be an improvement.

I checked out the x2hot hybrids today, nice club overall... scary how much it looks like an adam's hybrids now... and probably no coincidence that it does either.

That's nice to hear, as far as I'm concerned. I love the look of Adams hybrids.

Last year's XHP hybrids were nice looking, but too shallow for me. Are the new hybrids' faces taller than the XHP hybrids?

I went to a Callaway performance centre in December and was thinking of getting hybrids, but the tech there told me to wait. He said the new X2 hybrids were way better than the current X hots. I haven't hit the new ones, but can't wait.

You are a 0.7 handicap and you can't hit the XHP?  One of the best hybrids I've ever hit, but certainly YMMV  :dntknw:

I didn't say I couldn't hit them, I said the face was too shallow for me. I'm naturally a high ball hitter and the shallow face produces moon balls. It looks more like a 9 iron in the air than a 19* hybrid.

Generally speaking, a shallow face equates to a higher initial launch angle. That's something I don't need.

The X2H hybrids are really great clubs Callaway knocked it out of the park.  Also from what I was told the CT of last years sweetspot is now the CT on this years heel and toe and the sweet spot is another 10% hotter.  They are LONNNNGGG.  This may cause some issues with gapping though if your bag is set so I would recommend you test before you buy to make sure you get the right loft.

I can't wait to try these! I think my setup is going to be Driver, 2 Deep, 16 X2HP hybrid, 20 X2HP Hybrid, then the rest of my set. I bet the 16 hybrid is gonna be a monster!

If these things are as long as they say, the 16* might be a substitute/replacement for the 3 wood.

I can see it now....X2H in 16* and X2HP in 20*. :swoon:

The X2 Hot's are longer than my G25's, and about 2-5 yards longer than the Cobra Amp Cell, Bio Cell.

But one thing bothers me about them.  The club seems very upright to me.  I just learned that they indeed have upright lies, but that doesn't surpise me as the average guy is going to hit the ball to the right, so why not set the club up with a draw bias?

I'd definitely be concerned that these would turn into hook machines for me with an aggressive swing.  My bad shots are always left, but a club that is set up with a draw bias......I am concerned about hooking it allot.

I'd have to hit these outdoors before I would buy them, to satisfy this curiosity.
Hey man, I'm the dude

Ah the simulator distance #'s.  Hmmm.  I've hit drives 320 yards on launch monitors but can't sniff that in the real world.  I've always wondered why that is so.  ;)

They are solid clubs, but I didn't see any extra distance out of them.  Like the look. Did seem to have a slight left preference. Should be a big seller.

I didnt get a chance to hit them but saw the XHot 2 hybrids today.  Loved the headshape and stock Tour Green shaft.  Wow.  Can't wait to check out the XHot 3 wood.  The entire line looks really good.

I loved the xhp 18 and 23 I played for most of last year.  I just bought the xhot standard 19* and it is great.  I like it better than last years pro.  I have not hit this years pro, and have no reason to now.  The X2hot is that good in my opinion.
