Good stuff Zac, thanks a lot!

It doesn't look like the face is as deep as the original Rapture :(

I still want to see it person though.

I bet this thing will be a blast off the deck into a stiff breeze...even on the second swing after the drop.

Yes exactly. Or overall maybe a driver replacement if you play a narrow golf course. You won't believe how far this thing goes with the beta Ti face. Ppl will be able to smoke this thing.

It appears to be pretty big much like the original rapture.  I wonder if they will have varying weights with the sole plate to tune trajectory?

More marketing jargin thrown out there.  In the world of a max COR at .830, how can you exceed it legally then and now have the hottest fairway wood out there, dam all the others companies must have been lying.

K line is getting the boot, Rapture line used to be their SGi line and, now Karsten, so why not give this club a new name as it doesn't fit with past same name releases.  And only 13* with a whopping .5* + or - change, game changing.

Doesn't hurt me as I'm am a higher swing speed player, but the members that have a full bag of Raptures might wonder why this club with the name that has been marketed at them for years,  now isn't for them.

Unless the USGA drops it's death grip on the OEMs, the next 5 years in equipment upgrades is looking very bleak.

Very excited about this release. The original was a beast and this offering seems like a logical technological progression.

This is the most interesting of the new photos.  Everything else is just a slight difference from existing product and not as attractive  as the S55.

Why does it look like the adjustable ferrule is separated from the head where it meets the hosel? Looks like one of my hack job shaft replacements, wouldn't expect it to come from Ping looking like that.

I could be wrong, but I think all Ping adjustable clubs look like that. At least all that I have seen anyhow.

You're probably right, it just jumped out at me in the photos. Not saying it is wrong, but it looks sloppier than what I remember seeing in the past.

This club was very good--just as solid as a titanium head could possibly be and it felt really hot.  I have been struggling with the driver since playing again, so I was really hoping to add this after hitting some really nice shots off the tee (it wouldn't suit me as well as a general fairway though).

Then my fitter had me hit a few drives with higher lofted G25.  I was still on the fence between the two, but Jack pointed out that my misses with the driver were less than my misses with the 3 wood, not mentioning that I'm not as point-and-shoot as I'd like to be.  Jack was nice.  I wish he was my dad. :D

It's actually not a ferrule, it's part of the sleeve and does not sit flush with the hosel by design.

Fairway woods have not been hitting max COR because the smaller face area simply does not allow it to flex as much.

Because of the size of it head, longer toe to heel, the face doesn't seem as deep.  Believe me it is deep.  There is also a tour version that is smaller front to back.

$449.00 with the stock shaft.  Last I heard the club should be available around April-May.
