My favorite is the Lamkin 3Gen Pistol Smooth.  However, like all things golf, you'll get about as many different answers as responses to this query.

What's best is rather a difficult question to answer.

Maybe we can discuss the likes and dislikes of putter grips on the market?

I prefer Gripmaster Cabrettas. I tried Best Grips and while they felt good(tack), the shape didn't fit me very well. Maybe a little more round than I prefer.

I use the Lamkin Crossline Paddle grips. I typically put 3 or 4 wraps underneath. They're only about four bucks, and last a long time so they are pretty hard to beat.

Can't stand Winn grips. They take away too much feedback for me. I can make most standard size, rubber grips work. Love corded rubber grips, just wish they lasted a bit longer.

The new Winn X Pro grip line and the SuperStroke grip line are the best in my opinion. But that is not going to be everyones favorite choices. It is all personal preference as to what feels good in your hands.

I like to wrap my putter grip with a tennis over wrap grip. Usually a gamma tacky one.

I liked the winn jumbo putter grip and was my choice up until this season. Then I put a super stroke 5.0 on my Nike method core drone 2.0 and it's an awesome combo for me. I've dropped about 3 to 4 putts per round off of my average. So far it's been durable as well

The Golf Pride Players Wrap (standard) is a pretty nice piece. I installed one on my SeeMore FGP and have been very impressed with the feel and durability.

Personal preference like others have said, but I like Superstroke and Winn.  Only grips that I will play with. Winn on all my irons and woods, Superstroke on putter.  Have had a number of Winn's for putter as well.

GolfWorks is having a promotion on SS ultra slim grip. I never had or tried a SS before, I wonder if I should get on the bandwagon.

I agree with this 100%. I have some grips that feel better on different putters due to the material of the putter head. It is totally dependent on what putter you are using and what feel you are working to create.

I really loved the original Cameron pebble grain grips. Wish you could still find em. Right now I am rolling a super stroke 1.0 which I do like quite a bit, but it isn't terribly durable. I have never tried Iomic grips and will probably give one a shot this spring.

On my original Method 001, I'm still using the original grip.  I like it.  I've tried numerous midsize & oversize grips, and simply don't care for them.

My absolute favorite is probably "Dancing Scotty" cord.  It's just the right size and texture.

I've got an iomic absolute x on my putter. Far away my favorite grip. The texture is very similar to my M1911.
