I'm currently playing MP-59's and like them. However, I'm interested in possibly going with Titleist mb/cb combo set...just the inner ho wanting new equipment possibly lol. I'm a lefty and can't find the Titleist to demo. Can anybody compare/contrast the mizzy/titleist irons? any input is appreciated. looking forward to any input. thanks

Titleist 910f 3 wood
Titleist 910h 17*
Titleist 714 MB 6-PW, CB 3-5

I'm biased, but I'd save my wife and daughter from a burning home, and go back in to get my mp-59's if I couldn't get them all on the first trip.

I've never got along with any Titleist irons. So my opinion is worthless in regards to your question. Sorry!

MP-59 is probably more forgiving and personally feels much better than Titleists.

The 59's are one of my fave irons, and I'm not much of a Miz guy. I would think it'd be a bit of a downgrade, although I've liked the t**** ap2's and cb's in the past.

Lmao...I feel the same way about my 64's lol

But back to the question...your not going to like going from 59's to the Titleist clubs...mizuno jusy have that buttery feel compared to every other. I've veered off the Mizuno track a couple times and I won't ever do it again. Hell, I even have up my Miura TB's to game the 64's I currently have...and that says a lot cause I loved my Miuras.

Thing is, I'd like to try a more blade like iron I guess....but mizzy doesn't make their newer blades in lefty ....so I was looking toward Titleist....but I guess I might look for some used Mizzy Mp-68 maybe...I dunno...as a lefty it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth that mizzy's newer offerings don't include lefties....but I understand the reasons why...but still....lol

The 68's are nice clubs man, I gamed them for a full season. Awesome sticks. I would def pick some 68's up over Titleist MB's any day.

59's are a great set. I just looked at the 714MB's and CB's the other day, and based mostly on the width of the soles and related forgiveness, I'd say the CB's would be a lot easier to handle and transition to than the MB's. MB's have a nice rolled lead edge, so I think they'd be fairly "forgiving" as a blade goes. The courses I play have softer conditions so a little more sole ends up helping me. 59's worked well in that regard.

As to Titleist forgings and perceived feel: I've always thought 1025 Titleists feel and sound great and are plenty soft. My 695.CB's are quite soft and would say feel softer than the 59's due to materials and construction differences. I wouldn't expect the 714's to be any different.
