All my Christmas came at once today :D with the delivery of three special X Tour wedges. These babies look great and have some awesome grinds. I have not put them in play yet but I can see that I am gonna like these a lot! Poor Solus wedges may get kicked out of the bag

They are shafted with S300s which I think I may remove soon and install some project X shafts.

Excellent looking wedges!! The grind on the 60 is that a solus style/ Vokey P grind? I really like that style grind on a wedge great for bunker play!!

Satin finished Dynamic Gold shafts? Look more like Project X shafts. Someone should show these at address since that is how they will be played.

hi al:the new callaway x tour wedges look great except i think that only the small black or white x on them is enough, the rest makes them look to flashy.does this mean the v forged wedges will be phazed out and or discounted at most golf shops? :kewlpics: (cool)

Those are nice wedges. Let us known how you hit them once you put them into play.

It's pretty cool that the 60* wedges will come standard with the P-Grind in it. It's a little upsetting to see that they've moved away from the rounder shape of the old wedges, the original Cally wedges were some of the best I've ever used!

Some pics at address and some comparison pics with both a 61* solus tour wedge and also a 56* Nomad ported wedge.

Playing tomorrow so I will give them a go.

I am really impressed / liking the sole grind, especially for a "retail" grind that you will be able to walk into the store and buy. Hopefully by the time they are actually released, the sole grind remains the same.

Credit to Callaway on that aspect of the wedges :good:
