man, if these new X2's are better and easier to hit than the original X Hot, it isn't going to help my addiction at all!

I hit the X2Hot Pro driver yesterday and coming from somebody who played the X Hot Pro...this feels a little bit softer and it's definitely a little lower spin than  last years....and thst was with stock Tour Green.  Had a few of us hitting it...SS were in the 105-115 mph range..spin was from 1950-2300 for all of us!!  Easy to launch in the 8.5*.
Hey DSL, I am gonna put you on the spot.  X2 Hot Pro vs BBA which one did you like better and which one was giving you better numbers?  Sounds like the X2 Hot Pro is gonna be a pretty solid driver for Callaway this year.....may give the BBA and BB a run for their money.  I may wind up replacing my R1 and SLDR with a BBA 8.5* and a X2 Hot Pro 8.5*...

I personally cannot wait for the BB to come out. I love the original Xhot driver and woods. VERY straight clubs and still very workable. Throw in the added adjustability of the BB and, IMO, what ball flight CAN'T be dialed in?

now i have demoed all the cally drivers.  my favorite so far is the non pro x2 hot 9.0 with the atx green shaft.

it felt like a rocket launcher.  i usually need a little spin so it is perfect for me.  x2 hot pro felt good but regular x2 hot felt better and i like the bigger look at address

personally i did not like the zt shaft in the berthas.

i really would like to try the atx green in the berthas but i did not have time

I went to try out some low-spinning heads today at Golfsmith as I am a high-spin player (3500+).  98-100 ss/53 years old.  I went in looking at the Nike Covert 2.0 Tour and the BB Alpha drivers (not a TMAG fan so the SLDR was not in play).   The person who was working with me (Mark) immediately grabbed a X2 Hot Pro with an Alidila Green Tour shaft.  I was skeptical as I did not really consider this driver to be ultra-low spin (I have committed myself to finding a driver this year that will address my natural angle of attack and maintain my RPM's under 3000 on a consistent basis).
My first couple of swings were rusty as our Ohio winter has been a rough one to say the least.  247 total with 3300-3500 RPM's.  Mark adjusts the driver to 8.5 with a draw bias.  Launch angle is around 12-13° and my distance jumps to 273!  My RPM's with about 20 swings in this combination were between 2300-2800 and my distances ranged from 269-282.  I have always played at drivers with at least 10.5 degrees of loft and this was so out of left field that I was blown away.

They didn't have the Covert 2.0 Tour but was able to hit the Performance (stock stiff) and my RPM's were back up around 3300-3500 on a fairly consistent basis and my yardages dipped down to sub-255.  So that was scrapped.  NOW, it was time for the club I had come in to really cure my spin woes.  The Big Bertha Alpha.  It's a beauty!  The head looks compact (much like the X2 Hot Pro) but with that majestic blue (not that I was hating on the dark grey X2 Hot).  I was puring the X2 Hot but found the BBA to be all over the map (stock stiff Fubuki).  It didn't feel as good nor "hot" as the X2 Hot Pro and punished me on slight mishits.  What really blew me away was my RPM's with this stick.  I was never below 3000.  I was expecting 2400's with this beast but it wasn't to be.  This is truly why you need to be fit into any driver as they all will perform differently with different players/swings/angles of attack, etc.  We tried the gravity core UP and the RPM went up into the 3500's.  So, I know that the GC does indeed work.

I'm going to be going with the X2 Hot Pro driver at 8.5°/draw bias/Aldila Stiff Tour Green shaft (still can't believe I'm saying this).  It is THE club for my swing.  I also hit the standard X2 Hot 3 wood (with stiff Aldila Tour Blue) and it is a monster.  High launch and loooong (246 yes total).  For me, that is incredibly long.  The feel was so solid and the head size wasn't gaudy...just looked and setup right (it didn't look shut which gave me the confidence to attack the ball).

I also hit the APEX irons for the first time.   They will be replacing my G25's.  High, fairly soft (not the "clicky/harsh" feedback that some people have complained about) and LONG.  Used the stiff TT XP 95 irons and loved them.  6 iron distance was 190 total.  Again unheard of for me.  I realize this is a glorified 5 iron but it was as easy as hitting an 8 iron and the ball flight was high but not ballooning.   Yes, I am going to be a Callaway guy in 2014.  I even stroked the new Versa Jailbird and loved it.  I counterbalance my own putters at 39" with a Belly 17 Super Stroke grip (with 15 grams of weight at the butt end of the grip) and this Jailbird will be getting that treatment when I get back from vacation.

Me too TaylorGreen. I planned on playing g25 dr, 4w, hybrid, and irons for all of 2014. Now as of today I have x2hot dr, 3w, 19*hy, and 4-gw. Love the new x2hot line. G25 was awesome, just something about the X2hot line works perfect for me.

Last night was Callaway demo night at our local golf shop and was able to hit the x2 hot,BB and BBA. IMO the x2 hot was the better driver. I hit all of them with the tour green and I was just puring the x2 hot...the berthas were real heavy and had a tough time working the ball. I know everybody is going crazy over the bertha line which is a very beautiful club but that x2 hot is the real deal. It just wasnt me either...a lot of other guys liked the x2 hot better...was just an easier club to hit IMO

Just hit the X2 Hot(non-pro) 10.5 with Aldlia Tour green 65s and results were amazing. Great ball flight, roll wasn't too much and carry (very important for me) increased. Dispersion was better than my Stage 2 Tour and the Jetspeed that I was going to order. I'm not a big hitter and my average drive increased to 268 yds, which for me, is an improvement of 12 yds.

I wonder if there's going to be much of an improvement of the X2Hot 3 deep over the OG 3 deep. I'm definitely going to get one of the two!

I had to have my 13* 3Deep replaced and did so with the 2Deep. CANNOT WAIT for it to get here. Last I saw, the shipping date on their site was 2/28 so we'll see what happens.

If it's any better, I may honestly crap myself. I loved my 3Deep and was none too happy when it broke as they can't replace it.

After testing all the great offerings this year, the X2 Hot driver is my favorite.  Love the look at address, feel is outstanding, distance and forgiveness are top notch.

Anyone else making the switch to Callaway?!?

So 10 years ago when I bought my first driver it was b/t TM R5 and Callaway (forget). Both felt good, but as a beginner I went with the R5 for no apparent reason. Since then, I've upgraded drivers several times, each time sticking with TM's and not even trying any other company.

I'm trending toward a handi under 10 these days, and I'm also trending towards never purchasing a TM club again! I can't keep up with their lines, and it's slightly annoying...

I randomly tried the x2 hot 3 wood and love how the ball pops off the face. I just purchased one from a fellow WRXer to mess around with. If I like it, I'm going to try the matching driver.

Peace out TaylorMade...

I've been battling the SLDR driver for the past 4 months. At points, I've liked it but at others I've hated it. Finding misses off the sweet spot (low, high, heel) are totally unpredictable.

I dropped into my local golf shop and was handed the X2 Hot Pro Driver. After swinging it for the past 2 days, the SLDR is gone and the X2 Hot Pro is in the bag. I'll likely need to swap out the stock shaft but so far, it's pretty stable and a decent stock offering.

I have the x2hot driver 3w and 5w.  Love them all.  Have the tour blue stiff shaft in all of them and I like having the matching set.  Shot my best round so far this year yesterday and I was striping my drives.

I just got to hit my driver for the first time today. x2h pro all settings neutral, tour green x. This thing is stupid long when you hit it on the button. The sweet spot is somewhat larger than my old Diablo Octane Tour, but the lighter swingweight is going to take a little getting used to. My old head was hotmelted to raise the swingweight. I was able to make solid contact 9/10 times, but my dispersion wasn't as tight as I would like it to be. I think once I get used to the feel, this thing will have a place in the bag for a long time. I'm thinking about trying a little lead tape on the sole just to see what happens.

I just replaced my Ping Karsten 3,4, Hybrids with the X2 Hots. I found I was much more consistent with the X2 Hots. I also demo'd on a launch monitor the Ping I25 3 Wood and Callaway X2 Hot 3 wood. I was getting better numbers with the X2 Hot and couldn't pass up the current sales going on and picked one up for a song.

Matthew Fitzpatrick is gaming the driver.  Can't tell if it's the pro or non-pro model though. He's striping it too.
