Ok, so what happens in one or two quarters when this inventory doesn't sell at the price it was booked at?  Don't they take an earnings hit then, as a result of the channel stuff they are presumably trying to pull off in December, which will require yet another channel stuff next quarter to offset that charge?  This kind of thing happens in the electronics industry all the time, and smart investors can see through it.  It's just not sound business practice...at least not a long term one.  Not sure why they would do it in the first place....and if they would, why not do it earlier in the quarter with the release of the SLDR?  Just doesn't make sense to me.

QUICK -> someone go and trademark/copywrite all words with "speed"

My money is that the next-next set of TM clubs will be "LightSpeed"  :D
... followed by "ImOnSpeed" , etc

So is this legit?  There doesn't seem to be much confirmation of OP's info in this thread.

Yes, this is 100% happening in December. I just don't have any pics to share. I was hoping someone else did.

I don't know how the hard goods and golf industry works. But in my industry (Engineering Consultants) once we invoice it's considered revenue. Even if we haven't been paid yet.

I suspect it's similar in the golf industry. Once the Invoice or bill of sale is issued that is considered revenue. I could be wrong.

So True...

TMAG's unique Driver head retail releases SINCE February 1:
R1,
RBZ Stage 2,
RBZ Stage 2 Tour,
R1 Black,
R1 V2,
SLDR,
JetSpeed(?)
JetSpeed Tour (?)
SLDR 430 (?)

So, they could release as many as NINE different driver heads in a calendar year.  So, basically, TMAG will release more than double the amount of drivers THIS YEAR that Titleist has released since 2010.

And Titleist hasn't sold 10%  in those years total than what TMAG has sold this year. The last I checked both of these companies are in business to sell clubs. One of them is number 1 club sales and the other is recognized as being a hero by some (obviously not owners) for not trying to sell clubs and falling behind Callaway, Nike, and Ping in this category. Interesting! The often used business phrase "if you are not growing, then you are getting smaller" applies here. The last I looked none of these golf companies are Charitable organiztions. I fully expect Acushnet to change they was they are doing golf club business or they will have to just settle for it being an accessory to their ball, shoe and glove business. Callaway has already recognized the new model for club business and they have stated so in their release yesterday to shareholders and the Stock Market while reporting their 3Q numbers (up from 3Q in 2012) and their revised year end forecasts.

We still don't have validation on this brutal name but..

What I wonder is, how does this go through all the various levels it needs to go through, without somebody taking objection and saying how bad it sounds.  I never understand that when it comes to terrible marketing, whatever the company/product.
