Sorry if I missed it somewhere, is the Damascus #9 coming to US Retail or is that still just a hope?

Heard limited release. But do I want the 9 style with metal x milling or the white Damascus?!!!

I'm sure the guys at Odyssey could do both :)

Here is my odd request:  magnetic putter covers instead of Velcro. For #9  models, the Ping Piper iSeries putter cover would be a good base model just to show magnet locations

Chris just posted this on Twitter, I don't know if it is a one-off or production. If it is a hint at 2014, looks like the Protypes will go back to the multi material head with tungsten flanges like the Black Series.

Is the Sabertooth head design dead? I wouldn't mind seeing a ProType milled face version. I really like the look and feel of the Sabertooth.

Bump for this.  Milled Sabertooth would be sweet.

Another bump. Still using the Sabertooth White Ice. I have not found a putter that feels better in my hands.

That's a one off for a prominent Japanese player.  For those of you who don't know Austie Rollinson, he's been Odyssey's lead designer since 1998.  Think about all the designs he has brought to market.  No one has innovated as much in putters in that same time period as Austie.  So happy to see his name in metal.  Long time coming.

Dig the beveled edge.  I'm glad they might go back to the tungsten flange.  It was a unique signature technology with the placement of it and works for me (still digging and bagging my Black TD #1 wide)

Chris, do you personally work one on one w/ the odyssey pros through all steps when they request to design their putter?   And do you, yourself, put the finishing touches on these specialty putters, or is that delegated out to a trusted shop employee?

Great looking putter! Awesome to see Austie's name in the putter, would be cool to see a "signature series" putter hit retail. Love his work! ;)

Good question.  I'm in charge of the business end (P&L) of Odyssey and product development of our putters.  I'll gather input from tour players, consumers, accounts, sales guys, golfwrx.com, etc. around the world and develop our global line plans.  I work with Austie Rollinson on the concepts that we come out with, but he does all the design work and most of the one off stuff with tour pros.  We've also got Odyssey specific tour reps on the PGA, Web.com, JGTO, EPGA and JLPGA that work directly with players on their specific putter needs.  They'll typically work with Austie, myself and out tour build team here in Carlsbad to create everything we send out to tour.  Most of my interaction with tour players is testing prototypes at 7-10 events a year worldwide.

I get in the shop every once in a while, but I let the craftsman do their thing.  I used to build and repair clubs through college and have a little shop in my garage that I mess around a little with.  I'd love to build more, but not enough time in the day.

I just hope it's made better than the 2-Ball ProType headcover. The magnet in mine came loose and then came out. I picked up another headcover off eBay and it's starting to do the same thing. There's got to be a better way of securing the magnet to the flap and then keeping it inside the cloth.

Guys. You're going to be really happy with the new line. Saw it the other day. I'm talking absolutely sweet. The milled metal X line is awesome.
OK now, you canít just throw that out on the table without expanding more on the models.

Way more versa models coming our way. Some with tank options.

Oh and if you like the #9HT you're gonna drool over what I saw. The Metal X line is pure sexiness.

That's all I can say for now

Tank #7, center shaft, milled X face? True or False? You can just respond with one of the words bolded so you're not completely giving up information. Or if you don't respond at all, I'll just assume it's a resounding YES.

Go.

C’mon Chris, show us something that looks like a new putter you guys are releasing, or you can pm me some pic’s. I would never share them on here. :diablo: Or I can wrestle the ICYMI lady for the pic’s, I volunteer, someone has to do it. :o

#BringIt - didn't you know I'm currently holding the champion belt? Belt.JPG
Nice post Rhiona! I still am not scared of you  :help:  ! This is why I love Callaway/Odyssey Golf, cool people who have a great personality, and love golf as much as we do.
You need to look at my title, did you notice Pro Wrestler”? Still, Im’ not scared of you! :help:

You should be scared. I might look harmless but I'll taken you down, and do so with a smile. :D
