The General, Haig, Estates and the Squire are all very solid and quite challenging courses in the own right.
Now, I used to work at PGA a few years back. Since then it has changed owners, but from speaking to a few people, it seems they have upgraded the courses and the hotel and the overall experience should be very enjoyable. You may even see a few local pro's bopping in and out.
Hope you have some fun. ^^

All courses are in pretty good shape right now, but the Squire just had the greens aerated. Not sure what the schedule is for the other courses.
The Estates course has better greens than all the others. This course is about 5 miles from the other four, but part of the package.
Keep in mind that we are having a very severe drought here. We are only allowed to water our lawns once a week between 4am-7am. This affects the golf courses as well. The lakes are drying up and they can't use as much on the course as they need. Because of this, the greens will not be cut as short as they should/could be otherwise, and there are some browned out areas in the rough and on parts of the fairways. That said, they are still in very nice shape.
Squire - Shorter course, tight fairways, small greens. Great course to love or hate.
Haig - The most undulating greens, but not too severe. Open fairways. Good tournament course. Golden Bear Tour plays on it and the Champ.
General - My favorite. Undulating fairways, well protected greens. Much tougher from back tees than front. (Doglegs can be cut from the front).
Estates - Not the prettiest of our courses, but a great layout and in fantastic condition. Gets much less play than the others beacuase it isn't on site.
Champion - You all know already.
Enjoy your trip!

Hopefully they play us juniors at par 72, not like the PGA tour.

The champ is awesome....if you like a challenge and the fact that you are playing a course that has hosted the Ryder Cup, The PGA Championship, The Senior PGA Championship, and The Honda Classic....then you will be thrilled. The bear trap is the stretch on the back that is just to put it bluntly.....very hard. All in all great course and should be a fun time for you.
The haig was my least favorite of the golf courses there. If you like shotmakers courses where you have to plot your way around , then you will enjoy the haig.
The general was one of the sleeper courses at PGA in my opinion. It was very challenging, designed by Arnold Palmer...overall a great golf course.
Hope for good weather, and good course conditions....And hey there is one thing that I do know for sure and that is there is always a beverage cart around, so you can get some beers and enjoy....Sometimes there are even pretty hot cart girl eye candy....
If you have any other questions about where to eat, where to go out...all of that...shoot me a PM and I will see what I can come up with for you.
