Here is an exclusive early look at the new Mizuno JPX lines for 2014.

The dark finish and fresh color scheme is certainly the first thing you will see, but look a little deeper and you will see a dynamic or progressive cavity in both models. It's harder to see in the photos but there is a minimal cavity on the GW wedge on the forged model.

Cant wait to see how the heads feel and also interested in ball speed. I have a feeling the JPX-EZ non forged is a cannon for those looking for speed.

The forged EZ looks like a blend of forgiveness and feel for some of us looking for something easier to hit than some the Mizuno MP irons. Golf is a game of confidence for so many and these more forgiving designs might be what many of us will like to look at.

Either way Mizuno has a proven track record of releasing some of the best irons in the market and here is the next generation for 2014 in the JPX lines.

I kind of like them.  They are a big departure from traditional Mizuno.

Not a fan. To me these are not Mizzy's. The black / gunmetal & orange ain't workin' for me.

I guess I'll keep the MX300's a little longer...

View from address reminds me of Burner 2.0/Rocketballz irons.   Backs do have a ping vibe, with Cobra color scheme.  I'm sure they will sell a lot of these though.  Also looks like Mizuno is going to a 12 month release schedule on GI irons to keep up oh everyone else. Like all things Mizuno though, I'm sure these will be top-quality and the Mizuno fans will love them, and those who are not Mizuno fans will not understand the hype

Part of me wants to give these a chance to replace my H4's, other part of me thinks these dont really look like mizuno's but more like Ping and Cobra had a forged baby

Nooooo ... it's not Mizuno! It looks clunky like Ping and colorful like Cobra or Taylormade. Maybe looks young but not elegant - not a traditional Mitzy spirit!

I cannot wait to hit the forged.  If they are 1/2 as forgiving as they look and have 1/2 of the MP feel, they will be in the bag.  Also interested in the EZ cast in a 4 and maybe 5 if they are as easy as they look.

Agreed but at LEAST you can't see the backs on the long irons. Looks like a competitor for the G series, Cleveland Black, and a host of other SGI irons.

I WOULD have liked it a bunch more IF the forged would have been LH available

the orange scheme and the clunky build doesn't feel very mizuno.. but that said I am sure they feel great and offer a higher level of forgiveness. looking foward to a review compared to the JPX/JPX Pro lines.

I agree with the above posters, def doesn't look like a traditional mizzy. The 800 and 825 were much better looking imo. But maybe they will perform well.

Keeping my JPX-825 Pro (and MX-200 backup set) for a lot longer if Mizuno keeps up with this shenanigans of orange/black/ping like cavity fill thingy.

IMO the JPX-825/825 Pros are easily the best looking GI irons Mizuno has ever made to date. The new "EZ" line won't cut it if it does not offer 10x the forgiveness for your avg players. I take it they took the "EZ" from the T-ZOID "Comp-EZ"?
