My wife was the only witness, when I got Hole-in-one.
It felt more special when I got my first Eagle, than when I had Hole-in-one.

Maybe it was because I had 3 members on my league with me when I got it.

It was a 446 yard (Fairway goes over a hill) (I know it's a short Par 5, but because of a hill, it does seem long).

Glenview East Course 7th hole (Par 5)

I hit a straight (Wilson DD5, 10.5 degree) Drive 295 yards, over the hill onto the fairway.
I used 26 degree (Nike CPR) hybrid onto the green about 8 feet from the hole.
Made the putt for an eagle.

Usually when I make a great shot, second shot usually is a shank. But it felt so great to make 3 great shots in a row..

Just wanted to share..

Congrats on your first eagle. I don't actually remember mine. I did hit my first double eagle about a month ago or so. It is one I am sure I won't be forgetting ever.

Congrats

I Remember both my eagle and ace like it was yesterday. Ace was shear luck but the eagle was skill (and I will always defend that thought). Having my regular partners with me on the eagle also made it better, and it was for a 2 stroke win in our little group :) .

Congrats on the Eaglet.

That is awesome. There is something about making an eagle on a par 5 that is just memorable.....

Maybe that is because I don't have a hole in one, so all I have to compare it to is par 5 and par 4 eagles..... :russian_roulette:

Anyhow....that is awesome, keep em coming...And you are correct....when your friends or competitors are there and you do it....kind of like being on stage.....pretty awesome!!!!

:drinks: Congrats! I've actually had a few eagles but never an ace. I think I would enjoy the ace a whole lot more, but then again the grass is always greener... :good:

Sorry, but I can't agree with that. I've had quite a few eagles on par 5's (and a couple of par 4s), but only one hole in one. The HIO was definitely a bigger rush for me.

You're right though, instead of just one great shot with a HIO, you have to hit 3 for an eagle. Either way, Congratulations! I hope there are many more for you after this....unless you're playing in my group against me for money :-)

Wouldn't your hole-in-one be your first eagle?

Congrats. I remember mine very vividly. Blocked tee shot, killed 18.5* hybrid, chipped in w/ a lob wedge, all for my high-school team qualifier...nice.

Nah, you're not losing it.

I got my first eagle on Saturday. Hit a par 4 green from 240 metres and holed the putt... but I was all alone. :russian_roulette:
I never been so happy and unhappy at the same time.

Got my first Hole-in-One today. Greatest feeling ever. Never had an eagle, still don't have an eagle, but I've got a Double-eagle to my name these days. Playing this 9 hole course for school, downhill slight dog-leg right par 4, 265m. Cut driver, thought it was over the green and was looking in the reeds, mate has a check in the hole and YAHTZEE!!! We were jumping around the green for like 5 minutes. Just a pity it wasn't in competition.

I got my first eagle and the ace in a span of few months. The eagle was a hole-out from ~230 and the ace was few weeks ago during opening day at the club I'm playing at :) Let's just say the ace has pretty much covered my golfing expenses for the year ;)

I guess, the hole-in-one is an eagle..

It's good feeling all around.. My group in my league are also my co-workers.. So I've been congratulated many times at work also (because people talk golf all the time)..

Congrats!

My first (and only) Eagle was on a 546 yd uphill par 5 (#3 @ Pecan Valley Hills Course in Fort Worth TX)

Average drive right side of the fairway, then a spanked 3w to the right of green short of bunker. Chipped in from there. It was by far the best I played that 20 mph+ wind day! Funny now you can redeem a whole crap round with one hole.
