I have a Leupold GX-4i and have it clipped on my golf bag with a carbine clip.  The problem is the cases opens often since it's only a magnet that holds the case close.  Twice my rangefinder has fallen out in which I was lucky to find it.  The Bushnell case is much nicer in that it close by a zipper.

Those with Leupolds 3Xs and 4Xs.  How do you carry your rangefinders?

Call leupold and get the gx-1/gx-2 case.  It has a bungee cord thing that securely keeps the flap closed.  They only charged me a $5 shipping fee.

I have the GX-1 case (I have a GX-1, go figure) and its case is definitely more secure with the bungee and clip. During the round though, I don't use my case and just put it in the range finder pocket in my bag since it's soft-lined. After the round, I put it back in the case for storage.

If you get the case with the bungee, you should be good to go clipping it on your bag. I never had mine fall out when I did it that way.

I just keep mine in my ball pocket....never liked the thought of it being "out in the open" where it could drop out on me or grow legs when I'm not at my home course.

I generally either keep GX1 in the case clipped to the bag, or else it is in my pocket during play.

My buddies keep theirs in the GX-4 case. So far they haven't had any problems.

I use their QuickDraw Tether and just have it strapped to my bag since I walk.  I got tired of pulling it out of the pockets and case each time.  This thing is secure and provides added tension for stability.

I put a REWARD if found + my phone number label on my GX4i. I usually keep it in my left pocket but it does bother me a bit, I'll have to call about that bungee clip as well.  Thanks for the tip.

Go to Wal Mart and get some velcro and have a nice older lady sew it on where the magnet is. Velcro is some powerful stuff.

Velcro wears out quickly. Happens to all golf gloves all the time.

LOL. The velcro that Wal Mart sells is hardly the same stuff that is on a golf glove. I guess I should have mentioned in my first response that the velcro I am referring to is sold as industrial grade. It will NOT wear out quickly. The velcro on a golf glove is not made to last very long for a reason.
