He's the guy who's gonna turn this over-analyzed, over-experimented swing of mine into something that can be relied upon at the end of May. Hopefully. Can't wait.

Swiss - try the Golf Channel's site, look for Swing fix , he's listed in the instructors on there.

LaterOn - Dan is the man. Plain and simple.

It would be difficult to find someone else that can identify and correct "your" swing flaw/issues. I'm an average player that usually shoots just under 80. With life and family I don't get out much. Late last year my swing abandoned me after a long exercise program increased my strength and flexibility and I was lucky if I broke 90.

Dan keeps it simple. I met him in December for a quick 1 hour lesson that went to almost two. I was a little worried at first because we drove over to the range and he only grabbed a half bucket of balls. I warmed up with most of the bucket while we talked and he watched. He then had me change really two things (narrow my stance and a deeper him turn) and within a handful of balls (Literally 5-6 swings) I was stripping it. We spent most of the time talking about the swing.

I worked on the small things he wanted me to change and couldn't be happier. Just got back from a golf trip with friends where I never shot higher than a 78 (with lots of beer included :)

Dan is the man!

One thing.... if you're usually shooting under 80, you're no average player.

I'm currently working with Dan myself. I like his explanations and simplistic lesson. Hopefully he'll have me breaking 80 sometime.

My only fear is Dan getting too busy to fit me in.  Nothing to fear about Dan fixing your swing.  He will not give you the "2 years and lots and lots of practice" BS.  He will have you hitting it better within 15 minutes or your money back.  LOL  Ok, I made up the money back guarantee part, but he iwll have you hitting it better quickly.

Well, I'm an old dog and I learned some new tricks. I quickly learned what I was doing so wrong and how to do it right. Not that I could actually DO it right away, that's a different story. But it's getting better daily and at least now I know what to work on and how it feels when I do it properly. Besides, if you're THAT old, it'd be real easy to go back to your "ingrained" swing. lol

Who is "D" (Dan Carraher) you ask?  I met Dan about 6-7 years ago when he was working at a local box store teaching facility.  At the time I was probably an 10-12 hcp.  I was looking at some new irons when Dan came over and we just started chatting.  Now living in Orlando I have access to many of teh "Big" name instructors and had my fair share of lessons.  I was pretty gun shy from some terrible golf instructon experiences with a "Big" name facility.  He offered to do an evaluation of my swing and I thought the whole on video constantly may shed some light and help me improve.  Well I was so impressed with "D" that I signed up for a series of lessons.  Well after about 50 lessons from Dan at this location Dan moved on.  I went back one time since I still had lessons on the books and did not click with the other instructor.  But I have been up to see Dan in Jacksonville, have had lessons from him when he travels to Orlando and consider him "My" instructor.  I am so lucky that I can pick up the phone and send a text and usually get an answer back within minutes.  He took me from an 80 something shooter to now currently a 1.3 index.   Now I have had my up and downs and challenges but Dan always helps me get back on track.  I do have some funky thing I do and Dan works with that and realizes that I may not have a model swing.  He DOES NOT TRY AND PUT YOU INTO ONE MODEL.  He will help you work on your swing and deal with any physical limitations you may have.  Dan has such a great way of relaying information and showing you what to work on.  I tease Dan all the time saying I better get what I can now because one of these days he is going to be big, and very busy.  I am starting to see that come to fruition.  I have thrown some crazy questions about the golf swing at Dan and he is never stumped.  I swear he has forgotten more than I ever knew about the golf swing.  Guys Dan has a gift and is good, really, really good.  If you have the chance go see him, or send him a video.  I can't thank Dan enough for all his help!
