Geoff Ogilvy, the reigning U.S. Open golf champion, will attempt to match an Augusta National Golf Club green jacket with a pair of gold shoes.

Ogilvy, who this week will try to become the first Australian to win the Masters Tournament, will wear gold golf shoes for the event as part of his endorsement agreement with Puma AG, Europe's second-largest sporting-goods maker.

If he wins, he'll don the traditional bright green blazer that goes to the winner of the season's first major tournament. He can look like an elf," Antonio Bertone, Puma's golf brand manager, said in a telephone interview. "We try to have fun and not take everything so seriously and are always trying to do things to make our athletes stand out."
