I'm going out on a limb here and would guess most will prefer the Cameron...time tested!

Ask this same question next year, after the TR's have been out for a year.

Haven't tried one out yet, but the Anser 2 looks pretty sweet. Agree, we'll give them a season then read the reviews.

I just got to try out the new Anser 2 Scottsdale TR (black with the white grooves). I have been a Scotty Newport 2 guy for about 10 years and this thing with the midsize corded PING grip I absolutely loved. Especially how it only cost around $130-150 at the store at my place new, it makes it a really good putter for the price. I drained everything with it that day too. I am beginning to lose faith in the old Scotty's, especially when seeing some of the best putter's on tour who are sponsored by Titleist still using odyssey/other putters.

I really am curious as to your opinions after a year or so of use.  Considering picking one up, but wanted to see how it compared to a milled head.  I've heard that the TR grooves are great.

came here to say that I dumped my "unbeatable" Scotty Newport 2 with Pingman grip for a Scottsdale TR Anser 2. The grip is amazing and I prefer the feel and the insert WAY more than the Scotty. I won several tournaments with the Titleist putter so it's getting retired, but I am happily moving on...

I love the look of the ansers with the round bumpers, but if I had to pick, it would definitely be the scotty. Metaphorically, it's like choosing between a super reliable hyundai or a ferrari 458. You know that the hyundai is reliable, but you want the looks and the speed of the ferrari. And obviously, many people are going to go with the ferrari. :)

An OTR Scotty is a Ferrari? Not sure I would agree with that. Both of these putters are nice. Maybe a Hyundai vs Honda? Both feel real soft off the face

Probably a better analogy is a Honda vs a Mercedes. The ping isn't a Hyundai. Both reliable. Both tour proven. But w the scotty your buying lux, feel, looks, status, materials, hand crafted, yada. I've had both. Still have a np2, sold anser. Knowing that I have the best inspires more confidence, which helps anyone. Not that it's better, but in my mind it is. :-)

The tr ping will probably roll the ball as good or better.  I think the cameron is prettier thats what I recently purchased.  I will gladly give up a few strokes to have the craftsmanship of the milled putter.  Im probably in the minority but my mantra this season is that my score is irrelevant.   I have been enjoying myself more this season because of it.
