Been using the Callaway Diablo Forged Irons with the stock nippon shaft for several years and curious what you found out there that you may like better.

I changed from Diablo Forged to Mizuno mp-59.  Truth is, the Callaways are damn fine, but different, clubs from the 59's.  If I had wanted to stay with a "game improvement" iron, I would not have switched.  Gotta admit, the 59's look great in the bag and I love playing them.  They require just a little bit more consistent swing, and the time was right for me to take that on.

The DF's are very good irons, but the Nike VRS Forged are even better. They have even better feel and are more forgiving. They have taken my game to a higher level.

I just bought another set of DF's after i regretted selling them.I love the click off of the face & the high flight,but still love my S3 Pro's!!!!!

check out the mp-53s. I'm sure you could find them at a great price, either on the bay or classifieds. I bought them last year with kbs stiff shafts and the combo was gold! My prior set to the 53's were wilson ci9, which are nice game improvement clubs, and it was a good natural progression from the game improvements to the cbs.

I'm still playing the Diablo Forged with the Nippons but the new XHot tours have peaked my interest.   A LOT of really good shaft choices at no up charge and they feel really nice.   Hard to beat the Diablo's.

Switched to Nike VRS forged. Just as good feel and performance, with better forgiveness and appearance.
