Both of these shafts sound intriguing to me as I'm looking for a high launch, mid/low spin shaft, and from the info out on these so far they both seem to fit that general spec.  Anyone have any first hand experience with both of these that can speak to the "differences", if any?

I have most recently been playing a Matrix X-Con and been pretty happy with it over the past couple of years.  Obvoiously the White Tie is supposed to be the next generation of that shaft, but the Kasula White sounds like it is very similar in characteristics.

Don't know anything about your swing but I currently am playing a Kusala White, 56 Reg. This shaft demands a smooth swing.  Great feel, low spin and a fairly high launch. If I go after it much the shaft feels like it  can't catch up and the ball goes high right. I was having some back problems when I bought this shaft and now that I'm healthy I don't think it will work for my 100-105 swing speed. Can't comment about the other shaft as I have never tried it.  Good Luck!!

I guess maybe the White Tie hasn't been out long enough for many people to get a chance to hit it yet...bummer!!

I play the Kasula White 61x in my RBZ driver. I really like the shaft. It gives me a higher launch and helped lower my spin. I tend to get low launch and high spin numbers due to my angle of attack and this shaft helped with this.

I have the new White Tie 8x3 in my driver (xx-stiff, 91 gram).  It's ridiculously stable for my swing speed (125).  I'm still working on not delofting my driver, but this shaft seems to help me get it up in the air.  I've had limited time with it, but so far so good!

Bump.. Thinking of picking up one of these in an xflex in the morning. I have a high swing speed (135) and still compete in ld. But for the last few months I have been hitting the ball low to play golf and cheat the wind. Now I can't remember how to hit the ball high anymore. I thought one of these in my rfe set open to 7.5 I might love it . I know I could raise the loft of my 8.5 rfe but my miss I can't stand goes left and can't afford the closed face even with the heavy weight in the toe. I bombed the grafalloy bi matrix but I have bent two of the steel tips. Dunno how.

I've got a handful of the White Tie shafts but not the Miyazaki.

They kick like a mule and definitely launch high, awesome ball speeds too!

Sorry, can't compare to the Miyazaki.

I have found this same thing minus the launch part.  I know it's a higher launching shaft but it was launching for me around the same as the motore speeder tour spec.  I have the 6x3 prototype and it was tipped 1" so these shafts may be sensitive to tipping, but I instantly fell in love with it.  Mid-low launch (for me), LOW spin, one of the most stable shafts I've hit, dispersion was way tighter and ballspeed was on average 2-3 mph higher than anything I have hit this year.  (which has been a bunch)  Big, big fan of the white tie.  Got an 8x3 Prototype that is going in the 3 wood as well, if it's half as good as the driver, I'll be extremely happy.

Great, thanks for the replies!!  Sounds like the White Tie has the "kick" I was hoping for and the stability as well, but starting to get concerned about the Launch characteristics; was hoping it may have launched a little higher (I do realize that statement is subject to MANY different variables) as I will be playing it in a Nike Covert Tour head.  I consider my "normal" ball flight to be in the mid range with my current Taylor Made '07 Tour Issued Burner V2 (if I remember currectly that was one of the lower spinning heads of that model) in 10.5 with a Matrix X-Con6 Strong flex.  In the Covert Tour I was looking to go up in weight a bit to the 7X3 or 8X3 in stiff instead of Strong.

I just got a Cleveland Classic 290 7.5 with a Kusala White 56x.  I haven't gotten to hit it yet (snow) but I'll post when I do.

It still may launch higher for you, I would just make sure to leave it untipped.  I think the tipping that I did on mine was what altered the launch.  I know specs say its a high launching shaft, but after tipping and installing mine I can tell you it's not launching high for me.  Might just be me, although I tend to launch it mid to high and never thought this shaft would have a chance.  Threw a dual cog on it out of boredom and couldn't be more glad I did.  Worth a s*** at least

I play a Kusala White 61X on my driver. Great shaft if you have a smooth tempo. Very easy to get the ball in the air without ballooning and decent amount of spin. But like Mizunofan99 mentioned, not very friendly with aggressive swings. It's either big high slices or low knuckleballs. Personally I was very surprised with the quality of this shaft, it's my first Miyazaki. And it's a bargain for its price.

I have the 72x tipped 1" in my driver and it can easily handle an aggressive swing.  It may be that the tipping helps with that or the heavier weight but at my 117 ss, it stays with me whether I smooth it out there or rip it.

What driver head are you playing the 72x in?

Anyone else have any experience wit the Kasula White in the heavier weights...maybe even the 83x?
