You cannot mention the word Taylormade to a group of golfers without at least one person who scours at the sound of it. So this is for all the TM opposers? What is really that you don't like about TM? Is it the white only option (and now graphic/white)? Would you lose some of your hatred if they went back to black or at least offered black versions?

Or does the marketing really turn you off?  If they took more of Ping approach would they be more respected? Or is it something else?

Most are not concerned with the color of their club and are not" turned off" by any company's marketing. They use the club they can afford and/or works for them. They could not care less about meaningless interweb bashing.

Not that this hasn't been covered a hundred times before.....but it's TM's borderline deceptive marketing practices.

The white isn't for everybody but that is down on the list of annoying things for me.

I'm a big boy. I can pick what works for me:
R11s works great for me. The RBZ 3 wood did not. I have Cleveland irons and Vokey wedges and a Titleist 5 wood. I barely listen to nor watch commercials or ads. In fact I didn't even know the RBZ existed when I bough it.

What bothers me most is the constant barrage of "what do you hate about TM" threads. Give it a rest already!

I play with a group of 12-15 guys and no one ever complains about TM's white heads or marketing. I only see it here.

Same here, but this thread is what bothers me, the board member here.  I'll try any club, I just personally don't care for a white crown.

I admit when I first saw the white driver I was like "you have to be kidding me!" I now own one and like it.

The video above ^ . I though I was going to hear a bunch of corporate-speak and I heard a pretty ordinary guy talking about golf clubs.

+1 they are truely the laughing stock of the golfing community. You can't respect a company if they don't respect themselves.

The marketing is a bit annoying, but marketing never really bothers me that much. They're trying to sell clubs like every other OEM and they do that very well. I just don't like white, so all their recent drivers and FW metals are off the table for me.

I am most surprised that this is only the 74th "Why do you hate TM" thread since we entered 2013.

I neither hate the White, and the marketing doesn't bother me. If they were selling "awesome", and producing junk, then both would bother me. But as of now, nothing has beaten my SFTP 2.0 in all it's white glory.

I don't hate Taylormade but I dislike some things that they do. The main problem I have with them is their business practices. Their model doesn't seem conducive to steady growth and I think it will hurt a lot of golf retailers in the end.

I love TM clubs always had pretty good luck with them but I can't stand the white crowns so I had my r11 3 wood painted like my supertri.

So true.  If you don't like the company then don't buy their stuff.  Me, I couldn't care less and will buy their stuff if I think it will help my game.

I hate it when people hate things. Dont you hate it. I just think it is very hateful when others hate the fact that all the hateful people hate just for the sake of hating.

Must admit, I agree - these types are threads are getting a bit tired! Get over it! Most golf companies would kill to be as successfully as TM, but be that as it may, I play what works and really don't have any brand preference - I suggest all the OEM bashers start doing the same - you may find your game actually starts improving! As the saying goes- the tallest trees catch the most wind!

Hate: NO. Annoying: yes. The White Driver does perform, so it really doesn't matter. I personally would not game a stage 2 or R1 because of the graphic, but if it blew away everything else, well that's what Continental Golf is for.

But, its a golf club. period

Not so sure about laughing stock of the golfing community but, TM sure is laughing all the way to the Bank.  I see more TM clubs at golf courses than any other brand.

I'm not really an opposer,I've played their drivers for over 20 years.I haven't had a bag in those years without a TM driver in the bag.I've always tested others before I buy to see if others are better. The TM one always wins out. I tried the RBZ tour, but hated the white. So, I currently still play the Supertri, but I want a new driver this year and will not have a TM driver in the bag after all these years. This makes me sad.
I will be more then happy to spend the $45 to repaint the nike driver,if I choose that one.I'm looking at 3 others.

Yes, I'd be more then happy to put Taylormade back in the bag,if they decide to bring out the black paint.
