RIP Alpha vs D+ Which is Best for Aggressive Tempo?

I have used the RIP and the D+ in heavier weights, but I was considering picking up an extra lighter weight shaft to experiment with. In the 60 gram weight which option would be better for a quicker tempo. I am concerned that the lighter weight might add some additional launch and spin so any thoughts on tipping are appreciated as well.

What is you comparison b/w the two in the heavier weights as I considering going from current RIP 80 in my D3 to D+ 82.

They seem to be really close in performance. The RIP seems to have a bit more kick a the ball, where the D+ seems to just be a bit smoother. The RIP seems to launch just a shade higher, and the I would probably give the nod to lower spin from the RIP. It may be just me, but the RIP seems to hold up just a smidge better with my quicker tempo, but not by much.

Having used both, i can tell you that the RIP is lower spin out of the two... I went with the D+ because of the feel though. The spin difference wasn't worth the feel of the RIP for me.

I have the RIP 60a in my 910D3 and have tried a 913D3 with the D+. I prefer the RIP. Have to agree with previous posters that it launches just a bit higher but seems to have lower spin. I actually prefer the feel of the RIP...I guess boardy is just right for me. I might have to go to an x-flex soon and it'll probably be another RIP 60a.

I have never really understood the boardy comments on the RIP Alpha, actually in the 60 weight I tried in a 910 seemed to play a bit weak to flex. I still have a RIP Beta 70 in my fairway, and I think it is one of the best feeling shafts I have used.

I have RIP alpha 70s in a 8.5 supertri and a D+ 72g in a 7.5 910d2. Both 45" and D4 swingweight.

These 2 drivers a currently battling to be my gamer after eliminating numerous contenders.

The D+ is smoother and I seems to hit it slightly higher than the supertri. The D+ almost feels sloppy to me, but it is very consistent.

I do like the feel of the of both even though they are so different. Slight edge to the RIP for me right now because I'm having trouble flighting the D+ when needed into the wind.
