Does anyone use, or can you recommend, wind protection glasses for a golfer?

They would have to be glasses that can take a prescription lens, or some kind of attachment that can fit over/under prescription glasses.

These are for my dad. He's on a prescription for the watery eye, which helps, but not when it's windy on a golf course.

He probably doesn't want to look too nerdy, either. He's not going to wear a space helmet. Probably doesn't even want to be at "James Worthy" level.

Thanks,

Im a big fan of Maui Jim sunglasses, and the ones I wear are the Canoes.  My eyes are also very sensitive to wind and sun, and I find that the canoes wrap enough around that it works for me.  I believe the you can get prescriptions in maui lenses, maybe not all, but you could call and ask.  take a look at their site, their might be a style that could work.

The Honolulu looks like it would work as well, they are both in the golf area of their sunglasses section.

Crap it looks like both the lenses I recommended are lot available in prescription, but the Akamai are and they are pretty close to the canoes, and do a good job of wrapping the eyes.

Go to a motorcycle shop or a place that sells biker accessories.  They have a number of sunglasses that are foam rimmed to eliminate wind problems.  Not sure if they will fit over glasses, but worth a try.

Here is one that sells prescription online SportRx.

+1

I use these mountain biking and golf.  Clear lenses for biking to keep wind/water/mud out of my eyes.  They do take perscriptions as well.

Thanks for the info. Might have to talk my Dad into rocking some Oakleys or Maui Jims, but I think he'll like them if he eye stops watering.
