Well, considering that my kids were still in the room when he started going off on his "boobs" song and then the n-word blasts, I didn't care for his opening material.  William Shatner?  Really?

I will say he had some moments, but I just couldn't get "Peter Brady" out of my head.

Meh...decent.  Aside from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, I don't think I've seen an awards show host I've really thought was amazing in a long time.

I'm shocked they hired him, and then acted surprised at his routine. He did the same material that's made him famous, and then got blasted for it. Very strange. I like him a lot, though I didn't watch the awards.

Didn't watch much, but saw enough of it.  Typical sophomoric, uncreative, classless drivel.  He was a poor choice to host, and a pompous, self-congratulatory spectacle like the Oscars got what it deserved in hiring him.

Never forget that the luxury of being
wrong is not enough to make you right.

Didn't watch much, but they could have had Stewie and Brian host the show.

Not sure what they really expected, but considering that he got into the whole schtick of song & dance, etc at leas he put some effort into it. You'd swear it was like no one saw him coming.

I would have preferred to have Chris Griffin and Carl, the convenience store manager host the show... Who knows more about movies than those two?

This year the Oscars was boring but the most memorable moments were Seth's jokes, for me anyway. Thought he did a great job.

He did a great job IMO. Nothing wrong with a little sophmoric humor at an event that's only designed so that actors can pat themselves on the back.

1) political correctness has no place in comedy
2) who decided the oscars was a serious event? It's a bunch of actors saying how great each other are
3) if you hire Seth McFarlane, did you expect him to make polite and appropriate jokes?  It's like the people who have pet tigers and are so surprised when they maul someone
