Hi I did a search but didn't find this exact topic (I guess most players have already replaced their G15 drivers).

Can anyone tell me if it's worth replacing a G15 driver with the G25 model?

I'm currently using a 10.5* G15 that's 45" in length with the OEM TFC graphite shaft (regular flex). I found that shaft to be the best fit for my swing (lucky me).

Thanks.

Personally, I like the look of the G15 driver alot better than the G25. Got a chance to finally see the G25 last night and it didn't do it for me. It's more elongated and I am not a fan of the color. The sales guy loved the G25, of course, but I will stick with my G20. Yes, I have the G20. I like the looks of the G15 best but the G20 was better for me.

I bomb the G15 but looking to get a G20 based on what I've heard.  I'll try the  G25 after everyone starts selling them in a year or so lol.

I just came from the g15 and admittedly didn't like the g25 initially.  But after hitting one it is a huge improvement over the 15. It looks even better now

I own both the G15 and the G20 and have demoed the G25. I found the G20 slightly more forgiving than the G15, and the G20 and G25 seem to be about the same on my personal forgiveness scale.  I also get slightly better numbers with the G20 than the G15, for me the G20 and G25 preform about the same.  In terms of looks I think the G25 looks much better than the G20 and G15.  However this is just my opinion and your milage may vary, go check them out and see what works best for you.

Thank you all for your comments.

It looks like my best bet is to wait a year or two and buy a G25 then.

I have the G15.with Axivcore shaft.   Tried the G25 yesterday with both the regular and tour stiff.   It was good but I like my G15 as much.   Curious if another shaft would be better match for me but it did go high and pretty long but the G15 was right there with it.  I want to try out the Anser more with some different shafts.  I like the Blur a lot for my swing and looking forward to a visit from the Ping fitting van to a local demo day.

I took my G15 and my G25 to Golf Galaxy last night for a head to head trial in the launch monitor, both have the stock R flex 46" shafts.  My swing speed was averaging 93 MPH and it turns out that the distances were literally, exactly the same.  I think the clubs feel a little different, and I like the way the G15 sounds when I hit the ball, but I am pretty enamored with that flat black G25.  As far as performance tho, I didn't see any gains at all from the G25 over the 15.

I had a G15 with Soft-R flex TFC shaft marked as 12 degrees of loft. It was half an inch under standard length, about 45-1/4".

Saw a G25 marked 9.5 degrees with R flex TFC-189 and decided to try it into the net in the store. It had been special ordered 1" under standard and then not purchased.

I simply could not miss the sweet spot on the G25. I was swinging it 5-6mph faster, getting pretty similar launch numbers and just far more consistent with it. I guess the 1/2" shorter length, the different shaft and the shape of clubhead (maybe) combined to make me swing more confidently and better. I went back and forth between them a few balls at a time and every time with the G15 I was just giving up too much.

Bought the G25, a couple weeks later got rid of the G15 and couldn't be happier with it. By my at-home measurements the G25 has about 12-12.5 degrees of loft in address position even though it is marked "9.5" so that explains why it launches like a 12-degree...it is one!

I'm in the same boat as the OP, I currently play the G15 and have demo'd the G25 a number of times and have been considering upgrading.  I like the feel and sound of the G15 on impact more but the G25 def wins in the looks department. Numbers were similar but I think w some fine tuning I can improve w the G25 but I'm not selling the G15 just in case things don't workout.
