I got # 4 in today and played a full round with no issues...including a 360 yd down-wind bomb on 18 to finish :)  The other three showed signs of flattening after the first round or so.  This one looks perfect.  I'm hoping that my issues are over.

Sweet news.  Keep us posted!

Had my performance head with the tour shaft for a while now, no issues at all. Great Club!

If by issues you mean long and straight down the fairway, then yes I'm having a ton of issues. Other than that it is still in great shape (Tour version). I'm hoping that I won't run into some of these quality issues being reported. Outside of that I hit an all time high in fairways hit this past weekend (only missed 3, none were more than 5 feet off the fairway) with my full Covert tour lineup.

Today was my first day putting my covert tour through its paces.  Coming from an i20....I am still getting use to the sound.  To me it's a louder muted sound if that makes sense.  Anyways, no issues for me and this was a 2 hour session hitting between my i20 and the CT.  I will say this is easily 10 yards longer than my i20.  For now the i20 remains until my swing is fully grooved.  This driver is a legend in the making.

A piece of of plastic medallion underneath the crown broke off in my Covert Tour. Called Nike and they are replacing with a new head. Seems like this is becoming somewhat common, since they told me I don't have to go through the normal warranty process. A little disappointed to say the least.

Picture? Would like to see it as I just received my Covert Tour today so I can keep track. Thanks!

Please see pic below.

I received my replacement head on Thursday and had a quick range session. For whatever reason I hit the new head better than the old head in a head-to-head comparison - probably just psychological. One thing I noticed was the serial number structure is totally different on the new head from the original head. Maybe Nike switched factories or something  when they started noticing the problems.

Only problem for me is trying to find other shaft options for them. I have the stock Kuro Kage 70g on my 3-Wood.

Can't find other shafts with oem nike adapter.

I asked customer service about the newer serial numbers with the * and + symbols and he said it designates additional QC checks versus the older.  I thought someone else mentioned that earlier in this thread too.  Has anyone sent back a damaged head with the newer */+ serial numbers?

You can buy adapters and install them on any shaft with a .335 tip.

I heard about this too. Curious as well. When I go home I am going to check my driver. I do not recall that mine has it though...and I placed my order in March through a rep...

I couldn't tell you on any of mine because I didn't look.  I am going to check my newest one and see what sn is on it.  I can tell you that it doesn't appear to be developing the issues of the others.  Those had already shown signs of damage by this point (3 rounds).

I know there have been some real problems with a few but I beleive they've been magnified by those who just dislike Nike and or those who play the brand on tour. Ive never been a Nike guy. Actually Im a self admitted Titleist guy but Nike has made (maybe finally made) a great club in the covert.

I have had the Covert Tour since Feb. and have about 10 rounds and 3 range sessions on it and hands down the longest and best driver I have owned with no problems to speak of!  All I have ever owned is Titleist drivers and this was a big leap for me and could not be happier!

I have not had 1 problem with my Tour Covert with Fujikura Speeder 6.2 ts. I'm in a battle with my other driver a Callaway RFE 10.5 with Miyazaki B.Asha 4S as that is making it a toss up as both are awesome drivers.

I just received my Covert Tour bought new off the 'Bay. A little background: the head was still in the shrinkwrap, but it was hit a few times as there are a few ball marks on the shrinkwrap. However, there was no cosmetic damage whatsoever.

I took it to the range and noticed that the screw on the center of the sole seems to get loose. I manually screwed it as tight as I can with my finger, but it does become loose after a few swings. I do not hear it rattling when taking hard practice swings, but if I grab the club midway down the shaft and shake it up and down, there is a noticeable rattle.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this loose screw what perhaps caused the plastic plate to fly off for some owners as posted in this thread?

Except for this little annoyance, it is an amazing club. Very long off the tee with great feel/sound.

Should I contact NIKE Customer Service directly to see if they will send me a new head? Is it OK to say I bought it from eBay? Otherwise, how do I get around the issue of where I purchased it?

Thanks in advance!
