Being as it is winter season I was thinking of ordering some 3A balls from lostgolfballs.  Are they worth it?  I just don't want to buy them if they aren't even a useable.

I buy AAA all the time from them.  They are fine for me (13 hcp) but a lot of guys on here will not use them.  I love golf, but I don't take it all that seriously anymore so the AAA quality will perform just fine for my purposes.

All of the AAA balls I've ordered from them have been playable.  The only thing that may turn you off of them is that many of them will have a corporate or course stamp on them.

I wouldn't use the AAA balls but that's me.  Some of those AAA balls have been sitting in lakes and such forever...they have a great QC process for their higher end balls, but I'd rather play a Nike Mojo than some of the AAA balls.  If you are a higher handicap they might work for you...but if your gonna buy ProV1x AAA's just for ProV1x's sake...I wouldnt do it.

BTW - i love LGB.  I get all my balls from there.

Do not waste money on the AAAA regardless of HC.  I have ordered AAA versions for 5 years and ALL are playable.  The only difference is they may have player marking, logo, 1/2 dimples scuff.  I have never seen a severely discolored ball in the AAA grading.  I would say that when I order from them that 7 out of 10 of the balls look new to me and a few have a minor mark.  Lake balls are found for all grading for most used ball companies.  A ball in the lake forever would be severely discolored and therefore would not be in the AAA class.

ordered a 50 ball bucket of the 20XI 2 weeks ago.  some of them have noticeable scuff marks but 75% are in playable condition with probably 25% looking mint.

I think there is huge difference between AAAAA and AAA, but I'm kind of anal about golf balls.  I wont play a scuffed ball.
