I'd be in for a cash game or tournament.

I'm in the south part of D/FW.  Can travel really anywhere in the metroplex.  Depending on the budget of the group of course, but I'd love to play the old American or something new and really good.  

Could start thinking about a Ryder cup style against Houston in the future.

I don't mind setting it up. Would anyone want to play The Courses at Watters Creek in Allen. It is a new (redone) course that just opened in January. It is fairly cheap, around 35 after cart and everything.

I'm good weekdays the farther north the earlier it would have to be, typically need to be off the course by 2-2:30 on weekdays.  Of course weekends are good too.  I wouldn't mind waiting until April for some green grass

I'm good with that date, just don't know much about the course since it's been redone, never liked Chase Oaks all that much, but if it's a good re-design I'm open for it.

I never played chase oaks, but I don't think watters creek is too bad. The greens are fast and fairways are in good shape. Not too many bunkers to worry about, but overall, it's pretty decent I would say.

Cool, Chase Oaks just had some goofy holes, it seemed forced into the size of the land because of the adjacent 9 hole course.  Fash greens and fairways are good.

I would be interested in playing. FYI, I am in the Allen area and I think I read or heard somewhere that Watter's Creek is cart path only until sometime in the summer if that makes a difference to anyone.

I've played Chase Oaks and didn't care for it much, have not played it since it's been redone, but could it be that much better? If the venue is not set in stone yet, here are some other options for consideration, some of these courses may be expensive but if we call them we may be able to get a good group rate?

Gotta say I agree, I'm about an hour and a half from Watters Creek which is fine, but if there's a chance that it is anything remotely close to Chase Oaks, then I would be disappointed, used to live less than 2 miles from Chase Oaks and honestly wouldn't play it for free, it may be better now, but I'd hate to risk it.  I can check and see if there is anyone I still know at any of the above courses to get a good deal and I used to book tournaments for a job so if we get enough people I have no problem trying to negotiate with a course.

On that note, I'd be surprised if there isn't a couple of assistants from some of the courses on the site, anyone wanna host a WRX outing?
