So several weeks ago Odyssey PM (Chris Koske) threw out an offer.

That anyone that loves tattoo's, gets the swirl done, he'll hook them up with a putter, whatever they want.

WHOA. Really? I mean, I Love the body ink. and I LOVE some Odyssey Putters. I know, I know, some people are going to look down at me, or shake their head and have nothing good to say. Oh well. Why not mix two passions and things I love?
So let's dig deeper and see if Chris means it. A few messages back and forth:
-Chris: "As long as your able to post a pic of it with your new putter.  Send me a pic of it when it's done and you'll have a new custom putter coming your way.  I've got an idea that I think you'll love"

At this point I figured "Why Not,  I'm a big fan of Odyssey, what better way to show it?"  So i did:



Okay Chris. I did my part. What's Next?
-Chris: "Shoot me some putter specs (length/lie, etc), some favorite colors, a favorite grip and we'll get you dialed in".
-Me: "Okay, how about 34", i'm a big fan of my protype #2, and like the looks of the new versa #1 wide, but i'm a fan of the plumber neck head. Standard loft/lie/etc. Maybe an Iomic mid grip. And my favorite colors are Red/White/and Black since i'm a big University of Louisville fan"
-Chris: "I was talking with Austie Rollison, and he's got some idea's what he'd like to do for you"

WHAAAAAAT. Do you mean what I think you are saying??????

YUP. He Did. And in a BIG way!!!!


BLOWN. AWAY.  the only thing I can think while writing this is how much I wish I could get ROBOPTI to type out the excitement I am feeling. Seriously.

From what Chris has told me, and I have seen so far:

• 34", standard L/L
  
• 355g head with interchangeable weights
  
• Slight toe hang (4 o'clock position)
  
• New White Hot Pro insert
  
• Larger style #1 for a tour player in Japan.  Only a handful were made. (5 or less)
  
• Black Odyssey Iomic Grip
  
• One of a kind with custom stamping
  
• Wicked sweet Question Mark headcover
  
• I am IN LOVE

How do they know the person's tattoo is real? Temp tat's or a fine pen can handle this with ease. Not implying anything just it popped up in my head. Good stuff and that putter is sweet.

Like everyone has said, that is a very cool story.  The tat turned out well, too.  It's nice and understated.

It'd be great to see other manufacturers step up like this for some one-offs.  I'm sure there are plenty of club designers who would love to give their companies this kind of exposure...
