They are designed with a large toe box, so your toes have room to "splay out" when walking and taking a stance.

Reason I ask is because I currently use a pair of Trues for my everyday casual shoes (supermarket, department store shopping etc) but I'm looking for something a lot lighter such as the Project M's.

I'll stick with what I got. Footjoy has definately changed from when I last wore them.

Footjoy is pushing the envelope to keep up with new golf spike comfort technology. Don't get me wrong, I still break out the leahter bottom Footjoy Classics every once in awhile...but if you don't try some of their new stuff you are missing out on major comfort enhancements.

TL was not the first to offer the wider toe box or design around the way a foot naturally works. Bite did it 10+ years ago. Unfortunately their shoes were quite heavy. Eventually Bite was bought by Crocs and went down the tubes.

Size wise, they only offer full sizes in the Zeros so I tried the 11s which were too big, then I tried the 10s and they felt ok size-wise. The M Projects ran very true to size, and I ended up trying the 10s and 10-1/2s, the 10-1/2s won out. I measure about 10-1/4 D width on the Brannock device, but normally wear wide in just about everything and I can't wear Nike's because they run too narrow (Asics 11 fit me perfect).
The styling of the M Projects wasn't as bad as I thought once I saw them in person, but I still think the Zeros look a little better. Another plus about the M Projects is that they're just $130/pair, surprisingly low for a pair of FootJoys.

I did however try on the Adizero Sport & 6spike as I was waiting for my wedges to get regripped. I must say, I fell in love with them as well. The M Projects I do like but wont look good with shorts imo. I shall buy the sports & the mproject most likely.

I wear a 13 and settled on the 12s as well. Seems to be pretty consistent in their sizing to be a bit off.

- I went down a full size from normal shoe size to an 11. For comparison I needed a 12.5 in the TWs which they don't make.
- The mesh versions felt completely different, the inside liner feels funny when your walking around.
- The boa system is way too big on the back of the heel, looks retarded.
- The two best colorways are only mesh spikeless, the white with lime/grey accents and the white/grey pair. I much preferred the spike version.
- They look like sprinters shoes or those cycling cleats that you snap in, the black version much more than any of the other colors.
I ended up with an 11 in the white/black colorway. I went in with plans to also buy the tw 13's but they felt so terrible IMO. I talked to my buddy who loves them and he says I need to try them on the course, we'll see. The M Projects should be a great alternative to the stiffer and more traditional Icons that I normally wear. Any questions, ask away. Should have them on the course for the first time this weekend.

I would have agreed before this weekend. The M projects run bigger than any other shoe I tried on, I wear a 12 every day in dress and tennis shoes as well as Icons and needed an 11. The TW's run really small, 12.5 or 13, they had neither so I can't say for sure.
