So today while I was waiting to get my new irons extended I decided to try on the new M Projects from Footjoy. These may be the best feeling shoes I have EVER tried on and I ave TW 13's, adipures, tour atvs and some other good shoes. It literally feels like nothing is on your feet. I actually went down TWO sizes. In all my golf shoes I wear a 13 and I was walking around in a size 11!!!!! At 19 I have not worn a size 11 in about 6-7 years and I still had quite a bit or room for my toes. These may not be the best looking shoe out on the market but they in my opinion are more comfortable than Ecco's and trues. They are incredibly light weight ad breathable, and as soon as my tax refund gets here will be kicking out the Adidas'.

I just picked up a pair of the FJ M Projects with the BOA system I couldn't believe how these felt, almost like the shoe was wrapped around my foot !
They are definitely comfortable ...remains to be seen how they'll perform on the course but I'm pretty confident that it's going to be one of my favorite shoes ...right up there with my Ecco's
It was strange that I went down 1/2" size ...when I got them home I checked them again just to be sure & they fit like a glove !!
First time with the BOA system ...man this is an awesome idea on FJ's part ...I've never had a pair of shoes fit like this
I think FJ has a winner here ...

Well, I'll probably try them in spikeless.  Why not?

I tried them on tonight and couldn't believe how nice they felt.  I was in a rush but could probably go down a half size and be fine.  Will check them out again when I have more time.

I wonder how these feel for us folks with wide feet.  I have to use Contours due to those being the only shoes that most places keep in stock with XW sizes.  I looked at 4 different places today and not one place has over a Medium width.

I tried these on today at the local GS.  I have to agree with original poster.  Very comfortable and lightweight.  Spikeless model.  I tried on multiple other spikeless models and they were right up there with TRUE.

I would totally wear these, but not sure if I like the aesthetics of them.  I will have to think about it.

I tried in both. The all white spike less are the ones I got, but the all black spiked ones are next on my list

Did you notice a difference in feel between the two?  I'm thinking about getting a spikeless pair of shoes to see if they are a little more comfortable.

Saw these while I was at Golf Galaxy and they look really good.  Might have to try them on and see how they are.

Being a shoe whore, I'm going to grab some of these - probably gray mesh, spikeless.  Can anyone comment how the nubs hold up on these newer spikeless shoes (e.g. the ECCO's that have been around a while)?

I'm with ya T!
All my shoes with softspikes are Adidas. Nearly all of my spikeless shoes are Footjoy. Might have to give both the spiked and spikeless M's a go!

Nope not at all. But we're identical in feel and looks. The only dislike I have for the white spiked she's was the stitching was grey and stolid ou against the white.

I bought the spike less M project walked a round with them and without a doubt they are the most comfortable golf shoe I have worn. The are light weight with excellent traction. This coming from a guy who only buys Adipure Addidas and swore would never go to spike less golf shoe. This are just great. FWIW, I decided to buy them because they look like a golf shoe as opposed to other spike less golf shoes that look like gym shoes.

BTW, the shoe is designed to be wider in the toe area and going down a size may be defeating the purpose of the shoe. The concept is to feel like you are playing bare foot.

Think I will be grabbing a pair of each. Nice thing is that these are priced reasonably too.

Same here, got a brand new pair of Ecco Bioms that rip a hole in my heel every time I've worm them (walking rounds)Never had any issues with Eccos before but I sense they are going downhill. GS didn't have my size but really like the look and feel of these

Yea was looking that on the FJ site... The mesh must just be a pattern

The mesh is actually mesh, but inside is likely a Gore-Tex (or similar) bootie.

Both the leather version and the mesh version carry a 2-year waterproof warranty. The mesh upper is not a print, but a high-performance breathable, yet waterproof, mesh material. The "waterproofing" for the mesh upper is done on the interior and exterior of the shoe. There is a waterproof membrane layer inside the mesh upper and the exterior is further protected by a Scotchgard protectant.  We hope this helps. Thanks for all the great feedback so far on M:PROJECT.

Thanks for all the feedback. I was really excited to see FJ with a "minimal" shoe. Now I can't wait to try these.

Spiked or spikeless, that is the question. Or both?
