Sick set-up. NEVER heard of him though. Someone who lives in AZ should withdraw and let him play.

So, does he bear the cost for flying in even though he might not play?

I've wondered about this as well. Do most tour pros pay their own way to tournaments? Or do sponsors pay most of the time?

These guys will certianly be paying their own way to get out there. Bit of a risk for someone who is an alternate but if he had gotten into the event, the guaranteed pay day would undoubtedly cover off the expense of getting out there.

Austria has had a brutal winter this year.  Great if you ski, not so much if you golf.  Even if he doesn't get into the field, maybe a vacation to AZ didn't sound like such a bad idea!

Love his bag, BTW, and love these close up in hand pic threads.

That's exactly what I was thinking as well. It's terrible around here, and it has been since January 5th. I remember that, because I was on the range and played three holes on January 4th, which was the last day on which it was even remotely possible, and that was no fun either. After that, it has been golf dome only.
If I were him, I would fly to Arizona for sure to wait and see if I can get in, all the while being able to practice in better weather. Also, I think he is qualified for the next WGC event next week (he is No 67 at the moment), and there are no tournaments on the European Tour in the next few weeks he wants to play.
Oh, and OP, it's Wiesberger, first the i, then the e.

Edit two hours later:
So much for the better weather. He obviously took some of ours with him.

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

I think that 712U is an internal pocket cavity.

The 712U is a "tour issue" driving iron. Titleist has started to make them for their pros in a 2, 3 and 4 iron lofts now, as some pros do not like to use hybrids and this is the way they are going. It is similar to the Callaway X Utility Prototype Iron that their pros use and have been released to the public.

Great bag.  Classic and simple!  Pretty good size gap between his strong 3 wood and 712U.

Nice set up!  Wedges and putter all tour custom, not "retail" modified.
